For a party that claims to love Trump because* "he tells it like it is" or "he says what he means" they sure do spend A LOT of time talking about how he didn't actually mean what he said.

*I know, they love him because he'll say the racist, sexist, and otherwise abhorrent things they believe. But still, these MAGA folks spend a lot of time claiming he didn't say what he said, even when it's on video/audio. The gaslighting is real folks.

Please give bananas more credit. J D Vance is more likely to be reborn as a parasite in a snake’s gut to mangle the favored curse of Kimball O’Hara’s mentor

Sherrod Bown and Connie Schultz used to talk about how they genuinely considered Rob Portman a friend, even though they disagreed a lot. Never heard then say that about JD.

And if PAB wins, he'll be running the country. Maybe they'll keep Trump as a figurehead, maybe they'll force him to retire. But Vance will be the effective President, whether he has the title or not.

They'll NEVER 'force' a malignant narcissist to retire. He either goes out in a straight jacket or a coffin. He's too chickenshit to off himself, so I'm thinking the rubber room.......but then, more likely, a 'sudden, unforeseen' stroke and subsequent coma.......

He is so clearly in the fog of dementia that I think they could attempt to get him out with the 25th amendment. All the right-wing media needs to do is start showing the batshit crazy clips of PAB that they've purposefully been hiding from their viewers and otherwise arguing that he's lost it.

The footage is there, and it isn't a stretch to make the argument because it's true. He is actually fucking insane and demented. It's just a question of whether they could get their rabid MAGA base to buy it.

MAGAts will NEVER question their Gawd emperor. I unplugged from ALL media after the Tuesday massacre and have just today put a toe back in the sludge pond.......witness his cabinet picks and the backing he is getting from the drones........'Murika is completely hosed......I've had 3 friends call and ask how to secure a retirement visa to my adopted retirement country of Thailand........and this country has a King! With Lese Majeste' laws!!!!! (coming soon to the kingdom of Trumpistan.......after he convinces his crotch sniffer/fluffers to do away with the 22nd amendment........hear me now, quote me later) The U.S. is truly FN screwed.......

J.D. Vance the Ted Cruz of Ohio. They are clever guys who can always win a debate no matter side they are on. That's it. That is the sum total of their lives, their careers and their futures. That's all they got and that smugness which broadcasts how much smarter they are than you state college grad. It doesn't if nobody likes them, because nobody has liked them their entire lives. How can you miss something you never have had?

I'm not sure that J.D. Vance /is/ actually ambitious in the general sense of the word. I think he has had ambition handed to him fully formed by Peter Theirl, just like everything else in his adult life. This guys is the living embodiment of "entitlement."

This past weekend there was an intensely nauseating interview with a Cambridge University Professor of Philosophy of Religion about JD Vance broadcast on the radio. Trigger warning for listening to it if you're watching your blood pressure, as it is the most deplorable kind of sanewashing, carried out with a posh British accent. It's almost like you're there - next to the stable as he condescendingly breaks off the interview, then chastises the livery servant and rides off to the foxhunt.

One quote for you to decide whether to subject yourself to more :

Orr: "A lot of people have changed their mind about Donald Trump. No, I think what we've seen in Senator Vance's intellectual sort of evolution over the last eight years is - I think it's shown a great deal of courage and conviction on his part to be willing to stand alongside Trump at enormous cost, I mean, at the cost of effectively ostracism from the very elites that he managed to work his way up into."

Does it ever cross the mind of Republicans like this guy that, once Trump is gone for good one way or another, they will no longer have to justify the ridiculous things he says? And if so, doesn't that ever, you know, motivate them in any way?
