I was referring to Joe bringing Hunter into situations where he could meet the right people. It was what all connected parents do for their kids and then the kid lives off their name.
It was not like Trump bringing Vanky into his first meeting with Abe and her then walking out of that meeting with a shoe deal.
As we have seen, Congress has abdicated any responsibility for anything to DOJ which is run by Republicans now and forever. So nothing will come of this. And by the way there is still no official notice of hearings in the J6 Committee website. June 9 is 6 days from now. This is what they have up right now.
DOJ has no authority to enforce Congressional subpoenas. The law only allows it to charge Criminal Contempt which is a minor misdemeanor, even if convicted it would result in a suspended sentence and that’s after after all the inevitable appeals. It’s such a minor crime anyway DOJ would likely drop the charges rather than fight an appeal.
Nobody accepts payment after the fact for grift, because it’s too easy for the person who owes to say, “What are you talking about, I don’t owe you anything; sue me.” It’s an investment against a future Assmouth presidency, made in 2021 when he still had a snowball’s chance in 2024. It’s looking like a piss poor investment now.
Criminal Contempt is ludicrous. Even if convicted he gets a suspended sentence. And that’s after endless appeals. Nothing in Criminal Contempt compels cooperation with subpoenas. It’s a way for Democrat Institutionalists like Pelosi and Hoyer to avoid responsibility.

Biden has always excused him and propped him up because, to him, Hunter is still the little kid who just lost his mother and sister.
Kids often come out of trauma as achievers who try to use perfection as a shield against loss but also often come out of trauma angry at the loss and fearful and bury that in misbehavior. Beau and Hunter seem to, respectively, fit those types.
I doubt that it was possible for Joe to love them equally but he wanted to and so he helped Hunter and forgave Hunter.
