Couchfuck McGee was trying his WH war propaganda schtick on the troops and it did not go well. The soldiers, more than anyone, know firsthand this war is a clusterfuck of epic proportions. I'm surprised they didn't all turn their backs on the lies he was telling.

πŸ‘πŸ» for 'Couchfuck McGee' ! 😊

I threw up a little reading the bit about "low wage foreigners". EVERYONE buying and selling and working adds to the economy. Kicking out anyone shrinks the economy. I don't know what Couchf-k is trying to sell, but it doesn't add up.

The Catholic Church was once called the immigrant church. So much so that when JFK became president, the right wing was in uproar because he was catholic and therefore beholden to a foreign power.

NO REALLY.

Marc's avatar

Yes, then it was 'The pope will tell this catholic president what to do'. Apparently now it's 'This vice-president will tell the pope what to do'.

James David Vance (born James Donald Bowman,[a] August 2, 1984) quit calling him vance make him go by the name on his birth certificate like they want all trans people to do, he is NO exception! Point out how many times he changed his name every time in every mention about him.

I'm sending 'JD Vance excommunication vibes' to the Pope! As satisfying as it would be, though, to see that massive hypocrite and performative faux Christian excommunicated, I think the Pope is too canny to do it as it would play into Vance's and MAGA's victim narrative.

hate has hijacked religion

Maelen Moonsinger's avatar

Hate always owned religion once it became at all popular. Go read some of the stuff from the early centuries of Christian literature about Hell. It starts with hanging sinners by their nads above pools of burning sulphur while the saints in heaven lean over the railings and laugh, and goes down from there.

No religion that believes in eternal punishment can call itself a doctrine of love with a straight face.

The German Nazis were an explicitly white Christian movement?

Uh, actually, Nazi ideology was a grotesque pseudo-pagan load of garbage derived from old Germanic beliefs, or rather romanticised nutjob ideas of what those beliefs were. Nazis bought into the idea that the Milky Way was made of ice instead of fiery stars as a crackpot named Horbiger theorised, while some top Nazi figures promoted a search for Thor's hammer as a sacred object rather superior to Christian holy relics, and turned Wewelsberg Castle into a pagan cult centre for the SS. The world is still reeling from the impact of Wotan unleashed in the twentieth century.

Hitler claimed he was a Christian. I mean.

Maelen Moonsinger's avatar

And German Christians by the million went along with this. Sorry, your attempt to shift the blame leaves Christianity worse off than before.

ResistanceFictionistaBlondeIQ's avatar

Let's clarify our terms. The garden-variety "blood and soil" canard and the bonkers neo-pagan tripe come from the same rootstock. It goes back centuries. For ordinary Germans, this was conflated with Christianity wearing the mantle of historical precedent. The Wotan nonsense was practiced chiefly by the ss and other nazi elites. It was fringe. Even they knew it was fringe, but it didn't stop them. It's not stopping their direct descendants Peter Thiel and his ilk from co-opting it either. Once you realize it's all of a piece, it makes more sense. Religion ruins everything.

LOOOL, does Couchfucker think he is negotiating Catholicism with the Pope? Coz Pope Bob from Chicago is the authority there and does not need the approval of a smarmy furniture molester. Get over yourself, hillbilly poseur.

JD doesn't understand that the Catholic Church isn't a democracy. One is not allowed to disagree with the Pope.

Nothing says "I support the dignity of human beings" like being lapdog and servant to Donald Trump.

for someone who wants to bring back dignity to labor, he sure has a stupid way of going about it.

if these people are serious about their Catholicism, they should re- think their words and deeds.
