Well, they are canceling Head Start and getting rid of the Education Department, so there's zero chance the next generation of highly skilled and educated workers is going to be home-grown. And noone is going to be very enthusiastic about coming here as an overseas student to get their higher education and stay on to work in a high tech industry because Marco Rubio can just cancel them without due process. And forget any baby boom because they are also planning to gut Medicaid which funds 40% of prenatal and childbirth care, as well as covering 40% of child health insurance.
This whole administration is populated with just out and out weirdos and kooks from the top down, Not a one of them seems to have any grasp on reality. They all seem to be living in some bizarre alternate universe.
Trump fired Dr. Carla Hayden, the Librarian of Congress! She may have been the least partisan person in DC, but she's black, so I guess that doomed her. I can't believe it's gone unreported here, however! She did an incredible job, and is an amazing librarian.

I ...have a lot of things to say about that but in my efforts to be tactful, I'm going to just point by analogy to my thoughts (I'm still asking questions bc I don't know for sure) about
- not just given the fact that she is the librarian of the LIBRARY OF CONGRESS why that megalomaniac thought he had the right to fire her at all, BUT ALSO
- since it is the LIBRARY OF CONGRESS -- why is Congress not (or at least Congressional Democrats not) speaking up with ONE VOICE??
I've heard dribs and drabs from this Senator and that Senator, but the overall response is just ...

There is a simple model of JD love. It starts with a dot. JD does not love himself, but what's a guy gonna do? It's encircled by his close family, he has to pretend he loves them because even Republicans will hate him if he doesn't. Then there's the day-to-day work group, he hates them, but they are familiar with his routine and could easily kill him, so let's make like they don't waste oxygen. Fuzzy area where MAGA and the GOP coexist in the opportunity zone. Contempt for everyone else in the 'verse.
Dolls are unsettling. Puppets and clowns are, for me, even worse. Uncanny valley stuff is 100% my five-alarm-whooping phobia and yes, CGI/AI is incredibly worse on my poor amygdala than all of the rest mentioned, thanks for asking.
