The good guys already lost: the dogs.

So personally, I'm rooting for the indescribable mental anguish and distress.

Yeah, that pup has got the doggie "I'm guilty of something, even if I don't know what, but maybe I can cute my way through it" look, in spades.

No offense -- Just an alliteration. Love California (as I sit in house - 17 degrees outside). Also thought the deep ocean trenches off CA coast could handle it. :)

Doggie day care in Arizona only involves a shed and a shoddy air conditioner? That's some low expectation of services, and overhead.

"... after the air conditioning failed in a shed where the dogs were housed?"

What happened to the dogs was unconscionable but, to be fair, the dogs were not contained in a "shed". It was a 9'x12' room (part of the house and under the same roof). A "shed" conjours an image of a windowless, non-insulated, corrugated tin enclosure that, even if air-conditioned, would be inappropriate to keep animals. As it is, over twenty animals should never have been imprisoned overnight in such a small room at the same time.

Here's my dilemma: if the state is doling out municipal grants and funding and audit-checked Arpaio like the good Fiscal Conservatives they try to be, then why isn't he out on his ass?Even Tea-Baggers consider that much a liability.

Republicans and the ruling class. Turning the negligent murder of 20 dogs into a windfall of 8 million.... you gotta hand it to the ruling class and their conservative toadies...
