"Why isn't Obama talking about black-on-white violence? Why won't Obama acknowledge that minorities are doing crimes? When will Obama tell young men of color to be responsible and get married and don't do crimes?" Asking these questions -- indignantly and at length -- is as close as many commentators on the right will get to the issue of race. Some will get closer, of course (often with appalling and hilarious results), but the default setting of most conservative critics is to broadly blame Obama for failing to create racial harmony because he's too afraid of taking on minorities.

Evil is something that is done by men, not by the supernatural. Men have only themselves to blame for their evil deeds; they are wholly responsible for their actions and they cannot push part of the blame for their misdeeds onto a supernatural agent. Also too, this life is the only one you will ever get, so you need to use it to do good. Using one&#039;s position as a writer in a major newspaper to keep pushing the malicious and discredited claim that a historically persecuted minority is actually the persecutor of the much more powerful majority (who were indeed the actual oppressors) is an example of <i>not</i> doing good.
