People in our town. That’s how we know.

We see a group of a few thousand at the rally and we multiply it by the number necessary to avoid being attacked by the Trump campaign and MAGA maniacs. We generally assume the number to be much larger than it appears, because your eyes lie to you due to Trump derangement syndrome. And the people in our town at home, in the potty, and at the gas station or the park are “in attendance” for rally purposes. Mathematical statistics.

Ta, Evan. There were probably 2000 at the rally, and many left early as TFG rambled on and on.

Judging by the traffic yesterday, I'd have to guess the population of my town ballooned from +/-1,500 to at least 500,000. I hope we get a new congressional district out of it, anyway.

What would be a sellout crowd at MetLife Stadium, crammed into a Jersey shore parking lot?

MAGA smoke being blown up MAGA asses is what that is. I'm sure Donnie Dipshit had it printed out and handed to him as part of his daily egofluffing.

I didn't realize it at the time, but I apparently attended the last few NASCAR races that were in town. The track is at least five miles away, but when the cloud layer is just right you can hear the race like it's next door.

Semi-OT, but not:: Last night we decided to re-watch "A Face in the Crowd" bc it's been awhile. At the conclusion, after the (SPOILER ALERT) charlatan Lonesome Rhodes has been hoisted by his own petard and is left screaming into the void from his penthouse apartment, Walter Mathau consoles Patricia Neal by saying, "We always get wise to them." And I thought: do we STILL?

I think of that movie often, and 100% believe that what if took Andy Griffith down at the end of it happened to Trump, he would just deny it, and they'd believe him. Because when it comes to a choice of believing their own ears, or staying in the cult, they'll stay in the cult.

a powerful movie and one of my all time favorites. it amazes me that Andy Griffith had that kind of acting ability in him.

Yeah, it's too bad he didn't take more dramatic roles. He was really good in that.

The majority of voters have rejected Trump in both elections. It's depressing that he has as much support as he does, but it's reassuring that those people are still a minority, I guess.

It's MAGA's attempt to create their own Deadhead phenomenon.

And you know how good MAGA is at understanding and replicating popular culture.

If you support trump, if you work for trump, if you're a member of trump's family, or if you just love trump, you will lie for him. They revel in it. They get creative with it. They get defiant over it. These people were told that they weren't supposed to lie by their parents and teachers and now they get to do it without embarrassment. They're living their best lives. BTW, Troiano was indicted 12 times in New Jersey for lying about his employment in order to receive benefits he wasn't due. So that tracks.

When you're morally superior to the Demonrat Party and supporting God's Chosen, it isn't even lying: you're merely a champion of good.

The pre- rally story said about 20,000 tix had been distributed. So I'd safely say some percentage less than that number.

30,000?

100,000?

70 million?

This shit totally does not matter. Because the old man is farting himself to sleep in court, and that's the only true thing about him.

Exaggerating the support he has at his rallies is "evidence" when he loses that there was a Deep State plot against him and he rightfully won. Sort of like how the dipshits couldn't possibly believe he actually lost in 2020 because "Sleep Joe" didn't hold any rallies and no one saw any big trucks flying Biden flags.
