me personally, i proudly stand behind my district that has elected (in historical order): rahm emanuel, rod blagojevich, dan rostenkowski and stephen douglas (yes, that one).
Jesse was the first black preacher I ever heard using rhymes and a sing-song cadence like that. Of course he didn't invent parallel structure, call-and-response, or exaggerated prosody that are some of the core elements of black preaching.
