Fox News obviously has nothing to do with news, and is a toxic lab manufacturing rage. They attack Biden for everything, and it makes no difference that 95% of it is baseless or blatantly false, it angers its target audience and divides people. China/US relations are vital to global stability and peace, as well as our economy. Because humanity is an experiment in progress, we put figureheads in charge of these enormous relationships. So, it somehow matters that Joe Biden and Xi get along. Instead of seeing the obvious importance of this pivotal moment, Fox decides Biden should provoke China by blaming them for a worldwide pandemic that could have originated anywhere, and for the existence of drugs. Wingers seem to long for a wistful time when life was better, simpler and more prosperous. Start by turning off Fox News. People get along so much better when they aren’t being manipulated into believing things that aren’t real, or hating anyone with opinions different from their own.

In Mother Russia, feelings don't care about your facts!

Ta, Dok. Very shallow Watters, indeed.

Yes, I shall not coddle Jesse Watter’ disgusting anti-social behavior

"to wander around and live in tents..." Jesse Watters' own poetic words, urging us to abandon this consumerist delusion and just follow our hearts.

Watters' approach to satire is... tedious. If it went somewhere, it could be interesting - if wrong - but it doesn't. He beats a 'joke' to death in order to suggest suppressed rage. Fuck that persona. Say what you mean, bitch.

I have pink hair, a nose ring, and the only reason we’re not on the street is my parents are wealthy enough to pay our lot rent. I am disabled due to Long Covid. Since Pandemic Unemployment was ended by Abbott and the Child Tax Credit ended by Manchin, I haven’t gotten a cent in almost two years while waiting for SSDI (my hearing is next month so good vibes welcomed). I am very aware of both my great privilege and the precariousness of depending on aging parents.

Scarcity has made us kinder. We have sheltered friends, shared our food, donated dress clothes to friends who otherwise wouldn’t have been able to work, and more. I’ve gone without meals so my cats could have the last of the tuna. In return, I am more aware of kindness. The man behind the single mother slipping the cashier a $20 when she comes up short. The neighbor who cuts lawns gratis because he “need(s) the exercise”.

Jesse Watters inhabits a world where everything is transactional. Everybody has ulterior motives or is using each other, clawing to the top by breaking the backs of those beneath them, then sneering at them. What a miserable fucking existence. What a miserable fucking person.

All the good vibes for your SSDI hearing. One of my clients, who was sure his claim would be rejected, just got it approved. It's going to change his life for the better, and I hope the same for you.

I visited SF this past summer. Drove right through downtown. Took the BART. Walked from Fisherman’s wharf all the way to the baseball stadium. Had zero problems. Maybe saw two homeless vets in w/c’s and a line at one of the shelters. No “needles everywhere” or crap on the sidewalk, or criminal activity. Just kept thinking “what a bunch of bullshit”

I live in a red state, where people frequently like to talk about all the homeless people in SF, and how nobody lives there anymore. Here are my stock answers:

1) "A lot of those homeless people are vets." They shut right the fuck up with that one.

2) "If everyone has left SF, then why is a one bedroom $4500 a month, and a shack is $1M? At least it's not that cesspool NYC, where a one bedroom is $5500 a month, and a 1 bedroom condo is $2M, with $2000 a month maintenance costs."

Our one bedroom tenement is rent stabilized, and when we had our protest against the new slumlord who bought the building (the protest wasn't at our place, it was at a landmarked building where he's been harassing the tenants for two years), I made much of the fact that having a rent stabilized apartment in the East Village allows me to work in the South Bronx, assisting HIV positive adults.

It turns my stomach to think people watch Jesse Waters and think, ‘yeah this guy has a point!’ The cruelty, man. I would never have that much contempt for someone who DESERVED it (like Jesse Watters) let alone a poor, homeless person who’s just trying to get by. That many “Christians” forget that caring for those who have the least was very much Jesus’ jam and nod along to this shit? Unforgivable.

wait. so having 4 kids with multiple partners is a bad thing now? or only if it is a woman?

remember that Watters was the one that got Dr. Tiller murdered. he is very proud of that accomplishment and it is insane he is still not only employed but has had significant promotions since then.

Watters worked for Bill O'Reilly? I thought was O'Reilly who got Tiller murdered with his nightly rants about "Dr. Tiller, baby killer."

he was the producer that coined that bit. he was the reporter on the street hounding Tiller.

jfc I tried to listen to that first video but I couldn't handle the whole thing. The dripping sarcasm built on false narratives and insults doesn't deserve an audience of even one.

"You can't coddle antisocial behavior. You can't subsidize antisocial behavior. You have to stigmatize it."

Watters' conventional clothing choices are entirely superficial, as is his hollow smile and fraudulent politeness. Fundamentally, his groteseque and cancerous values - they're all antisocial.

Hey Jesse, tell us you have no human dignity, empathy, or compassion without saying you have now human dignity, empathy, or compassion. I really hope there is a hell, and there's a very uncomfortable place for it there for the horrible person Watters is.

Watters would be surprised at the people who have been homeless. Rick Wakeman is best known for his stints as keyboardist for Yes, but he also has had a successful solo career. In the '70s he had some of the most elaborate live performances of the decade, including presenting his concept album about King Arthur at Wembley Arena on ice. But Wakeman's rockstar lifestyle not only almost killed him when he had multiple heart attacks while still in his 20s, by end of the '70s he was broke, and spent several months sleeping on park benches.

'But Fox’s real focus this week was on the news that in preparation for Xi’s visit, San Francisco, with help from the state, cleared out some homeless encampments along with sprucing up roads Xi’s motorcade would travel along and putting up metal barriers in some areas for security — haw haw, who says walls don’t work, Gavin?'

When my family visited India in (1998?), it was on the heels of one of the periodic dust-ups between India and Pakistan. When my friend went to India a few years later for her honeymoon -- her husband is not Indian, and it was his first trip -- it just so happens that they mirrored part of Clinton's state visit itinerary; everywhere they went, things had been spruced up, and homeless people were nowhere to be seen. :-/

"You can't coddle antisocial behavior. [...] You can't celebrate people with purple hair, with nose rings, four kids with four different men who are dressed like trash, and make them out to be some sort of cutting-edge heroes. You have to call them what they are. These are people that have failed in life, and they're on their deathbed."

Trump has 5 children with 3 different women, and the Trumpers are making him out to be some sort of cutting-edge hero.

Here is an example of anti-social behavior: making a woman's car inoperable in order to force her to get into yours, for the purpose of getting her to have sex with you, after she has explicitly rejected you, repeatedly. That's some straight-up serial killer shit, though I'm sure this guy congratulates himself every day for the heroic feat of not rape-murdering his future wife, even though he totally could have.

But sure, let's all freak out about purple hair.

Truly, these people's lack of self-awareness is astounding.

And look at the fake dyed hair on Trump, too. FAILED AT LIFE!

The hair color thing is puzzling and is also an incel thing. Incels lose their shit over women with brightly colored hair for some reason. It offends them on a deep level and I just can't figure it out.
