"There are lots of reasons people who go to college become more liberal, many of which don't have a damn thing to do with what happens in the classroom. Much like living in an urban area, college exposes you to people from different walks of life."

I grew up in a liberal town in Central NY and still live there now There are colleges and universities in the area. I have net people from every continet excpet Antarctica (maybe I can meet a penguin at the Bronx Zoo. Jesse Waters once came to one of those schools to ''talk'' to liberal students when he was still a dickhead on Bill O'Reichy's show. I found out later that not surpringly a number of students did a great job of taking him to task and refuting his bullshit, but of course none of THOSE comments made it to air. Later I had wished I knew about it so I could've gone there with a least one freind and maybe a full ''Watters" bucket for his head, and a quick pantsing for the Fox Spews cameras.

Robyn, I KNOW you understand. I have a cousin who went to Nazareth College and one who went to SUNY Brockport (both women, by the way). So all my life I have been around education and educated people, most of them women. After all, my cousin who went to Brockpot took me to see Elton John at the Auditoroum Theatre in 1972 - we had third row seats. Now that was smart!

Now this does not mean that college results in all liberals or Democrats. The Cornell Review, a vile reich-wing newspaper (Motto: "We Do Not Apologize") founded at that university, had Ann Coulter, as it's first editor, and Bill Maher also was there (at the school) at the same time. And I am sure there have been some scuzzballs at schools in and around Monroe County too.

In any case, Fuck Jesse Watters, oh and fuck Ted Cruz

THAT would probably make him win, I'm afraid.

I think it is more than that. I am sure there are many young reich-wing fratbros that love what they think is humour, especially when he shits on women, minorities, and LGBTQIA+ people.

Me neither. And if I remember correctly, if you did get one, you were supposed to feel bad about it. Middle/working class people will NEVER be treated fairly, let alone respected for what they (we) contribute to our society. Which is plenty.

I don't actually think so. I'm 61, and I don't watch any of this shit, not even MSNBC. It's boringly low-density when it comes to information, and I'm sure the youngs are even less patient than me.
