I love how Waters keeps going "Edwards beat the rap!!" like that should mean something. Yeah, dude -- he beat the rap after being arrested and put on trial. Which is what ya boy is going to have to do as well.
I assume Dr Hooker meant there wouldn't be so much scrutiny about these things if he hadn't run for public office. POTUS no less. He probably could've kept getting away with stuff the same way his dad did if he'd stayed in his lane. He & his spawn had somehow repeatedly evaded some very close calls in the years before he announced.
It's in my nature to find at least one (1) redeeming quality in every human I can point to so I can think to myself, "well, there's that ONE THING that means they aren't/weren't a total waste of oxygen and resources and might have contributed ONE positive thing to the world (e.g. being fond of dogs, appreciating fine art, being able to construct complete sentences)" but I have come up dry in this regard.
(This doesn't mean I revise my opinion of said horrible person with a hypothetical single redeeming quality, mind you, it is just how my brain works. It doesn't like not being able to find ONE SINGLE POSITIVE THING.)
