Sounds too much like Laura Ingraham telling LeBron to "shut up and dribble" when he's building entire schools complete with community infrastructure, and she's, you know, not.
You are correct- it is an extremely unpopular opinion. You are saying that because others lied and covered-up or ignored ( just as he is doing ) that he should get a pass? No. None of them should get a pass. The victims need to continue to speak out and name names. Jordan included. I'd argue that it is even more important to hold him accountable because of how he is ACTIVELY denying.
Here's where the rubber meets the road. He's not saying "those things weren't happening, so I couldn't have known". He wasn't a grad asst, he was a full time coach--I mean, Jim Jordan is one of those legendary schoolboy athletes in Ohio (I know b/c he is only a couple of years older than me): he was undefeated in his HS career, 4 times state champion. His whole family is synonymous with the wrestling program at his little shithole high school in west central Ohio, his brother, or nephew or cousin is the coach and the Jordan family is like a a rabbit warren. I've said before, if he didn't know what was going on with the athletes who spent their time in this facility that solely dedicated to the wrestling program, than he was the worst coach in the world. My HS coaches in basketball knew what we were doing after games and during the 5 days in between games. I wouldn't say he was stalking me, but one of the varsity asst coaches seemed to know about every piece of fluff I chased during my senior year (I tended to go for girls from other schools--cheerleaders, etc.)
The first time I went to vote as a young'un, I had to swear an oath for some reason I can't remember (I was a white woman who got a ride from a black male, maybe?) and they offered me a bible to swear on. Being an honest little atheist, I asked if they had something else, and they essentially said "oh, just swear and cross your heart and hope to die if you're lying."
Proof that the Bible doesn't teach morality. The Chester-enabler is perfectly fine with lying -- until -- he has to do something that he believe would cause him to suffer everlasting (no Get Out of Hell Free cards) punishment at the hands of his loving Bible-monster.He doesn't give a fuck about the kids who were molested and their suffering. And it sounds like the victim count is going to keep going up every wee. But he's a Christ-stain, so it's all good. I'm sure there's something in the book to justify lying to protect a guy who idly sat by when all of this was going on.What kind of goddamn simpleton would think that Jordan should have the responsibility of doing what's right for the country when he couldn't do the right thing by those college kids?
I think that's true for a number of coaches. I know I saw some where that college sportsball coaches are the highest paid person in the entire state, in a number of Big 10/Big 12 states. It's amazing.
I can't tell if it's sheer hubris or doubling down out of force of habit, and I mean that every way it can be interpreted
It sounds like your answer is in your question.

Devin might want a piece of that action.
Yeah, if Woody could be fired, anyone can.

Don't clear the raper.
Exactly. Now he's doubling down.
Gym couldn't get Republicans to back a bill advocating happy hour, but he expects to be Speaker?
LOL
