Aaron Rodgers took his cues from the narcissistic personality disorder playbook.

Say or do asinine crap to make yourself the centre of attention? Check

When called on the carpet for your asinine behaviour, claim you never said what you CLEARLY said? Check

Blame someone else for acting like a jerkwad? Check

Not take any responsibility or accountability for the asinine stuff you said? Check

The revolting thing, of course, is that these kind of bullshit smears make it less likely that *genuine* accusations will be believed - especially if the victim is connected with conservative politics or Evangelicalism in any way.

Kids are learning that "groomer" and "pedophile" are just things you call someone you don't like or don't agree with, or who's telling you stuff you don't want to hear.

How many teachers and LGBTQIA+ people are going to be falsely accused, by indoctrinated kids who don't know what "grooming" actually is? And how many ACTUAL VICTIMS of grooming and assault are going to have their outcry brushed off, because those words have been so devalued?

Nobody benefits from this crap but child molesters. Maybe that was the plan all along.

Given that every accusation is a confession with these people, I'm gonna say yes, that was the plan all along.

Anyone with half a brain knows you don’t pick a fight with a guy who has an entire staff of writers ready to produce jokes for him. Which explains why Rodgers didn’t know that.

By coincidence I was forced to sit through part of The Pat McAfee Show yesterday. Imagine five aging bros sitting around shouting at each other about "dem 49ers!" "Dude!" "How bout that 4th quarter!" "They play some good ball!" for two hours. That's where this "source" came from.

I guess Wonkette hasn't kept up with the latest on this story. Pat McAfee has now taken to insulting his boss at ESPN (who has lasted longer than any other employee there, including Keith Olbermann). I mean you hear about people screwing up their careers in real time but I've never really seen it in person.

https://www.mediaite.com/tv/pat-mcafee-accuses-espn-vice-president-of-trying-to-sabotage-show-live-on-air/#comment-6361482823

"On Friday’s episode of The Pat McAfee Show, the former NFL punter took a moment to thank the viewers and ESPN for their support. According to McAfee, however, the support from ESPN hasn’t been unanimous. He then claimed Norby Williamson, the Executive Vice President of Studio and Event Production, deliberately tried to compromise the show by leaking information.

“Now, there are some people actively trying to sabotage us from within ESPN,” McAfee said. “More specifically, I believe Norby Williamson is the guy who is attempting to sabotage our program. I’m not 100% sure. That is just seemingly the only human that has information; and then somehow that information gets leaked and it’s wrong, and then it sets a narrative of what our show is… Are we just gonna combat that from a rat every time? I don’t know.”

What is it with Green Bay having great quarterbacks who turn out to be scuzzy sexual harasser embezzelers (Favre) or whackaloon idiot antivaxers (Rodgers)?

Other than a few RWNJs, NO ONE likes Aaron Rodgers anymore. Packers fans hate him (ask me how I know?). He did nothing for the Jets.

He's rich, so it won't matter that NO ONE LIKES YOU, AARON. Go hire someone (for good pay) who you can crazy-talk at.

I've followed Jimmy Kimmel since "Win Ben Stein's Money" and it's honestly a delightful surprise that he's grown up into such a good egg. Especially since his coworkers, edgelord pseudointellectual Adam Carrola and Ben Stein have devolved into redpilled asshats.

I like that Kimmel doesn't try to be America's Sweetheart like Fallon. He just seems genuine and is funny and doesn't hit at marginalized people and also calls people out like Rodgers. I think he'll weather this and A-A Ron will continue to circle the drain.

I don't love him, I don't watch him (I'm asleep), but he seems like a pretty okay person, especially considering from whence he came.

I also remember seeing reporting about when his kid was born with a heart defect, and he was SO PISSED that he could maybe get his kid treated without going broke, and how is that okay? "I know I have privilege and it's not fair, but also I am scared for my kid" (not a direct quote!) is a pretty fair take.

Kimmel managed to be funny without punching down at marginalized people or making misogynistic "jokes" about sexual assault, but I guess that's too much work if you want to be an "edgy" comedian.
