Well that’s it. The student has become the master. Becca’s gif is way better than mine today. Still, I am here to lay that source info down: https://open.substack.com/pub/martiniambassador/p/wakey-wakey-wag-your-tail-y

LOL, so I set up stripe to enable subscriptions to my Substack? Yeah, they said it would take 5 min. It took about 40. And less than 15 minutes after I was done they said I was missing information and that they would stop all payments in 15 days if I didn't cough. up more info, which they didn't ask for during the initial set up.

So... went back in to try to find out what the hell I was missing and...

The password doesn't work. The password that was only minutes old. Which I **know** I had right. Unless, perhaps, I typo'd the original?

But here's the thing. They have crafted INSANE requirements to secure your stripe payments INSANE. And yet they don't make you type in your brand new password twice to make sure there's no typo?

Look, maybe all that security is necessary, but

1) don't tell me it's going to take 5 minutes. There's no way that process takes 5 min for ANYONE,

and

2) setting up that much security but not double checking new passwords for typos gives me FUCK ALL confidence in the rest of this shit. If you can't do that, then what that tells me is that you're gonna make me jump through insane hoops at my end, then you're gonna let your employees leave the database wide open to hackers and this shit won't be secure anyway.

Be honest. Do your job. Set reasonable expectations. And take my security at least as seriously as you make me take your security.

That's not too much to ask, is it?
