Once again, proof that God either doesn’t exist, or, is completely indifferent and uninvolved in our affairs here. Kissinger got 100 years. A century. 10 decades. 36,500 days. 876,000 awww fuck it he lived too damn long. My dad died at 77 years, 3 months. Trump has now lived longer, and my dad was a good man. He helped people and bought groceries for poor people he knew and he retired at 55 because he believed time was the most valuable commodity any of us will ever have. I think it’s a tie…time, and the love and friendship of family and friends. But even people responsible for the deaths and suffering of millions can reach 100. So much for a “plan” for all of us. Unless Kissinger lived a life of conscious suffering from guilt. But I wouldn’t bet on it. Didn’t Ford say Kissinger, in his mind, never made a mistake?

Biden used every one of his 3000 years of experience in office to bury multiple knives in Kissinger in that statement. It's even more stark.

And "condolences... to all those that loved him" is colder than Antarctica at the Summer Soltice.

Someone posted a comparison of Biden's statement on Kissinger to his statement on the death of Jimmy Buffet. The contrast is everything.

Contrast it to the one on Rosalynn Carter as well.

As much as I admire Hillary Clinton, I gotta admit, I was a little disgusted by how she got all effusive about Kissinger.

My mother always taught me to speak only good things about the dead. Kissinger is dead. Good.

I was not of an age to be aware of Kissinger when he was important and, frankly, now that everything has become imminently critical I care little about anything pre-Dobbs, but I do have to say to the whining youngz that they need to attend to how Gramps has learned.

A few years ago he was still in the "I worked with segregationists 'cuz Senatorial comity" mode. Now, he knows better - that there is only one decent side.

Nicely snarked, Joe.

What he was saying a few years ago was that he had no choice as a junior Senator but to put up with rude condescension from the likes of Strom Thurmond.

This is why I love Joe Biden FOR his "gaffes," not in spite of them. As polite as the language is, he's not about to admit to sentiments he doesn't feel.

It was a perfect deal. It conveyed what it needed to without any sentiment or frankly, sympathy beyond the family. That was a text-book perfect message about the death of a formerly, highly respected, monster.
