So this is the first i'm hearing or reading about Biden and $90 turkeys. So for me and people like me you are the source and amplification of the claim you say has no merit. Do you see that?
I see it and I counter: How many Wonkette readers are seeing this and thinking “This claim has merit!”?Knowing the bullshit helps counter the bullshit.
Bullshit doesn't need to given a pulpit and as a result life. Bullshit will die on its own, why? because it's bullshit. The time that is spent countering lies which they are millions of, can be better spent making progress on real tangible fronts. Somethings are not even worthy of a discussion.
That's a good question. The answer,, as Murdock has pointed out is that some corps like FOX understood then and still now that they have a target audience that eats it up which raises rev. Most of that rev coming from cable subscriptions. Even then, they only appeal to 30% of the population. Granted it is a rabid group. Those people will not be reading Wonkette. They probably never heard of it. And if they did, you aren't changing their mind.
So what is your point? You seemed to be saying that it was bad for Wonkette to use this headline, because... I don't know your "because" any more because you have completely undermined your former position.
This $90 turkey article is still the only place i have seen that the claim has been made. So for me, this article is amplification of a right wing talking point that i otherwise would be oblivious to. If most or many people on Wonkette are similar to me, then this is akin to listening to right wing media, certainly playing into there hands by arguing against something that is ridiculous has people spinning their wheels for nothing. As someone said, It's BS. I did see this release yesterday, " According to the American Farm Bureau, the price of an average Thanksgiving dinner has dropped by 4.5%. The cost of turkeys has dropped more than 5% from last year." That kind of info, all on it's own, without amplifying the right wing, renders the BS $90 statement laughable and unworthy of a response from me.

Bullshit does NOT die on its own. Why would Trump still be alive if that were true?
