Yes, Pale Rider. I'm really enjoying the part where she links the effects of the influenza, such as the randomness of who died and the depression that survivors often suffered, and characteristics of modern literature, theater, the plastic arts, etc. This fascinates me because I have long loved modern art before and after 1918 and she's convinced me that experience of the influenza defined the culture of that era. I'd always thought that it was World War I that caused the break from romanticism. And woodrow wilson was a piece of shit.
It's funny, that list of the service branches vaccination rates is pretty consistent with my preconceived notions of the percentage of RWNJs in each branch. Also, seeing as the Navy was hit pretty hard in the early days of the pandemic, it makes sense that they'd be the most vaccinated now.
But when Trump took office there was no ammo on the shelves at the Pentagon.Generals came to him, big, tough men, crying, saying, "Sir, sir, the Muslim took all our ammunition and gave it to the terrorists!"
These financial incentives are long overdue. A big chunk of the unvaccinated are low-wage, hourly employees that simply can't risk losing a day or two's pay to recover from a possible reaction to vaccination. Compensating them for that will make a big difference.
The Navy is ahead because so many of them spend lots of time cooped up on those cruise ships with weapons.
What's long and ...BANHAMMERED!
Don't stop there -- make masks mandatory for everyone. And issue us all extra boxes of masks and staple guns, so that we can help mask the maskless.
He's going to get an earful once if he gets conscious.
I mentioned raiding the Pentagon. And that's the draw -- you can't get it anywhere else. Duh.
Pale Rider by Laura Spinney? Great read/listen. Lets you know that stupid is forever.

It's been at least a couple days since I've said this, so now is as good a time as any. I sure do adore OHJB, our President.

THIS! antivax rhetoric is a public hazard and should not be considered protected speech.

I hope you plan to use the staple gun the way I plan to.
Hey, Joe, if there are any fluids of mine you want to buy up, just.../mouths "Call Me".
