Women’s issues are too divisive for re-elections and we should try smiling more?

Truly. Unless it’s denial. The thing is so scary they can’t acknowledge it’s true.

Same with LGBT rights and other things. They really never believed that some of these assholes on the right actually believed what they've said. They sure as hell do.

I can't count the times in 2016 that people responded to my comments on places like Salon and AlterNet that abortion rights hinged on defeating Trump. Along with things like voting rights, gerrymandering, and minority rights. After all, there was one seat vacant and that could turn the court liberal and probably at least one more vacancy before 2021. Only to have people respond saying either "Republicans would not do that" or "I don't care, I'm not voting for the bitch."

Most likely some of that was coming from Russia since later reports show they concentrated on monitoring and commenting on left leaning web sites, and sometimes my comments occurred at 3:00 am when I would wake up and not be able to get back to sleep, only to have a nasty response bounce back in two minutes. That was 11:00 am in Moscow, which sounds more likely than someone here reading my comment and responding in 2 minutes at 3:00 am eastern time.

I think that's Gosar. He looks a little less crazed than he usually does, or maybe it's being so close to the other assholes in comparison.

Fuck, even Dr. Hartmann around 1900 at least laced his Peruna "medicine" with significant amounts of alcohol. Just goes to show that there is no truth to the rumor that history "progresses".

Why?

Never mind. Anti-abortion laws are just made up efforts to control other people. Abortion is a human right that precedes and supersedes man-man laws. It's all a scam.

I've been gritting my teeth since 2016.

To think that a few years ago we thought Louie Gohmert was the bottom of the barrel. Honest to dog I shudder to imagine the 2024 elections.

I originally thought they didn't really want to do it.

Then I realized that they really did want to do it, but they were smart enough to realize how stupid and dangerous it would be.

And now I think that they really will do it, because I drastically overestimated their intelligence and responsibility.

I'm beginning to suspect that when we took the lead out of gasoline in the seventies the oil refiners took their excess lead stockpiles and sold it to Florida, Texas, Alabama etc. etc. for use in their municipal water supplies.

Agree. The term "structural issue" carries lot of weight there. I find myself banging my head against solid objects alot, muttering to myself "what imbeciles thought this was a good governing concept?"
