the bigger issue is how the DNC and associated groups get people registered and turned out.

But how do we keep Republicans from purging the Dem voters who are already registered? How do we make sure Republican-led states provide adequate polling facilities in areas that traditionally vote Democratic?

If Moscow Mitch's remark that the republicans are 100% focused on blocking anything Biden proposes didn't clue Manchin in, nothing will.

Why not? There already is a Coast Guard facility located in West Virginia for some reason (Robert Byrd).

Just in case anyone is interested in a different take.

Making the pre-clearance rules apply to all 50 states is stupid and pointless (just like Joe Manchin!), but if it results in Manchin getting on board to nuke the filibuster and pass the bill, then fine. Unfortunately, I'm not holding my breath on that happening though.

Manchin just playing the game, have him give Mitch a BJ on the floor of the Senate. Half measures with these corrupt assholes so Cnn and Msnbc will book em! The Democrats do not want democracy! He's Barack's version of Joe Lieberman!!!!!!! Which was just what Barack wanted, bingo! Same game group, !

I love the followup line: "It's what we have most in common with white people."

Who's up in GA and AZ? Is it Kelly and Warnock?

Interesting. I wonder if Manchin would blow up the filibuster if he could get just one R vote.

Let's face it, this court will never get behind campaign finance reform.

Not sure if that’s true. In terms of “Us,” the Dems have won almost every Presidential Campaign for decades, Hillary, Gore, Bush’s first… and the GOP keep stealing them away. We win, but we lose, even if it’s by 3,000,000.

Many more Americans Voted for Dems last year and we’re still 50/50.

The GOP has been very deliberately stacking the deck in their favor for decades and the Dems have not done a gotdamned thing about it. Which brings us to where we are today.

So. We can give up or we can try harder.
