"banks that charge $35 for a bounced check are too “woke”"

That is terrible. I guess people who are not eligible for credit unions?

USAA charges $29 for an overdraft, but will only charge one a day instead of compounding them on top of each other......they also notify you immediately. Eastman must be a VET or one of his family members for him to have an acct. with them. They also reimburse you for out of network ATM fees, free checking, good loan rates.......I can see why he's not happy about getting bounced......BOO-FUCKING-HOO douche nozzle......

I really love me some Wonkette-specific idioms.

Other general idioms, not so much.

Consider this a protest vote against the idiom "all the sudden."

Please, Wonkette, please. Can we at least retain "all of a sudden" as the proper construction even if the rest of the world is burning down around our heads?

That might be speech-to-text software auto-car-wrecking it and proofread not seeing anything illegal and letting it stand.

You've reminded me that my own experience with speech-to-text software is about 15 - 20 years old, and that you could generate interesting nonsensical blocks of text just by making weird noises into the microphone.

Criticize Eastman all you want but don't insult the hat. If you want to mock someone for bad haberdashery go after those douchebags who sport narrow-brimmed fedoras.

He can always just use a payday lender

Except he doesn’t have a job

The dude is simply unemployable. That's why he had to hang around Donald "Tiny Hands" Trump -- and then this no-name "law" "school". The wife and kids are scamming grifters, too. They can only find handouts at places like (not making this up) the Claremont and Hillsdale reeducation camps.

Expand full comment

Wait, if you never have a payday, doesn't that mean you never have to pay it back? That'd be perfect for him!

Trying to figure out what the exact definition of "woke"' is and why it's such a bad thing. Anybody know?

Expand full comment

Woke is a single syllable sound that drives MAGAts into an irrational frenzy of fear and anger and makes them easy to manipulate.

Expand full comment

Yes. If you're a mouthbreathing conservative dipshit, "Woke" and its synonyms "socialism" and "communism" are interchangeable terms meant to describe "anything a mouthbreathing conservative dipshit doesn't like".

If you're a person with an actual soul and conscience, "Woke" means having empathy and understanding that other people may have a different life experience than you in America.

The reason conservatives *seem* unable to define it is simply because nobody has managed to generate a catchy bumpersticker slogan that doesn't make them look exactly like the imbecilic monsters they are.

Being "woke" means you are voting against Joe Biden, and you feel good about it

ok, i swear i just wrote one non-comment, and two appeared, so when i tried to delete one they both disappeared. GAH.

anyway, i said that it would be sweet if the banks closed his accounts because there are no funds left in them, due to collection activities conducted by the attorneys he owes.

Have any banks refused to do business with Trump for any of the same reasons? Not talking about loans. Just general banking.

Expand full comment

I doubt Citibank wants to do business with him, as he defaulted big time in 1995, but the bank didn't foreclose on him for some weird reason, even though the Wall Street Journal had inside info they were about to.

I always thought PAB must have had video of Citi execs buttfucking a sheep!
