The hell do I know? I just speak in successively louder and slower English until the wine is delivered. Works every time!

Just 3 cities, and it's almost over, but it has been an excellent experience. Sagrada Familia today. Gaudi was a genius.

Of course! Because we are not one of those shitholes where poverty is so pervasive. In Amurka, even the poor have refrigerators!

Kelly's thinking on immigration is backwards, reductionist, absurd, and damaging...(separation) " could be a deterrent, would be a detterent. " He is talking about human beings. And he sounds so psychopathic and detached from their plight. " They're mostly rural people & they don't assimilate well. " Bullshit. They sure "assimilate well " keeping the economy going with all the jobs average Americans won't take.

A sibling has 350000 twits to hear her carefully crafted dipshittery but at least there is blowback ie an article headlined with accusation of her being an airhead, which was quietly satisfying.

A bit OT but.. I've been going on some twitter rampages lately about the need for Hope, and a vision of a better future. This could potentially be the biggest weapon in the progressive arsenal, if the left has the sense to deploy it. Yes, we all know every day brings a fresh outrage; yes, we' re all exhausted and burnt out by it.

But you know what? F*ck em. What if we stopped being exhausted and started living life AS IF they weren't ruining everything? What if we simply refused to play that game any longer, rolled up our sleeves now and started making the better world we wish to see? Chaos magickians and the like have a saying, Banish with laughter. I firmly believe that would work here. Do we need to go form a ring around the White House, and start chanting Out Demon Out? (followed by a big gay dance party, naturally!)

At least some of mine appear to have gotten here before there WERE laws about such things. Tho on both sides there seem to have been ladies who, shall we say, entertained gentlemen callers from time to time..

You are 100% right, we need to act in a real and tangible manner. The Democratic Party is not providing a path or direction that seems to fully achieve what I believe the nation needs. And the Republicans are calling the all the tunes.

It appears the Democratic Party is unwilling to change anything and are banking everything on Trump getting impeached and the ensuing engagement. But afterwards, it will be the same party that pre-ordained that Hillary would run in 2016 despite the fact she was a bad candidate. She would have been a good president, but that is independent from the fact that she was a bad candidate.)

Today I see that it is mandatory to ally myself with the Dems because they are the only entity that can stop today's Trump madness. No matter what the long term objective is, that short term goal must be achieved or else the entire board may be wiped clean and a Republican oligarchy instituted.

On November 7th, it is very likely I will become a free agent and Chaos magickians are as probable a destination as any other.

I tried to remind myself in 2016 how I felt when I saw Hils speak in support of her husband back in - gosh, 92? It seems further back - and wished SHE was the one running. And of course, given our limited system, I've often found myself voting Dem not because I'm for any particular candidate so much as strongly AGAINST the other one. But boy howdy do I wish they'd grow a spine and become a party I could believe in (failing that, I'm looking at the DSA)

Like you my party affiliation is actually anti-Republican.

All my energy is now given to helping Democrats because they are the only entity on the board that has a chance of derailing the right wing effort to establish a 1000 year, white christian, Republican oligarchy that is unconstrained by the rule of law.

On November 7th, I will reassess the direction my loyalties will go.
