Yeurgh, I can't believe I'm going to say this - but in Walnuts's defence, his A-4 Skyhawk, among others, was downrange of the rocket that accidentally fired while the deck of the USS Forrestal was packed with aircraft being prepped for an attack on North Vietnam. There's plenty of responsibility to spread around but McCain had nothing to do with it.

McCain deserves recognition for what he survived in Viet Nam but he still has to answer for his conduct when he came back.
