Is that noise I'm hearing, the scraping of the bottom of the barrel? The trouble is, there is always another half-wit ready and eager to do Trump's grunting.
My brother is in plant maintenance management at a mid-sized (800 workers) plant. They make industrial (and some consumer) tools.
six weeks ago they got serious:- masks required at all times in the plant- temperature check to enter the plant- sanitizing crew continuously going through the plant cleaning all common areas- no pay but also no penalty if you feel you shouldn't come to work- if someone invokes the above, or if someone reports a family member has tested positive, their work area is cordoned off and cleaned, and everyone they were in contact with at work goes into serious tracking starting with a test.
As a result:- The plant is running at capacity.- All orders are going out on-time.
- None of the workers has tested positive, though some of their family members have.
- Because their competitors did not do this, two of their competitors are unable to meet deliveries.. and this company is getting the business - permanently.
I contend that these plant managers that put on their blinders and charged forward made a HUGE mistake.
I'm originally from Greater Boston, worked on JFK's presidential run by doing the Shirley Temple dancing thing at Boston polling places, lived through both Kennedy murders, and the JFK Jr. thing set us ALL back on our heels. The fact that this is now conspiracy fodder is total INFAMNIA! Vah fungool! Fanabla!!!
