So yes, Dok just accidentally posted himself and five minutes later I accidentally posted Robyn. Both posts have been unpublished and will be posted again in an hour and two hours. I don't know what the fuck is up today.

It's all good in the neighborhood! Just part of the toll of being human!

Perhaps Loomis was about to post a Tim Curry obit and Substack had an anaphylactic reaction . . .

Bring those Hatch chilis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ETA: I'll bring the mead my partner is making.

Tia Loca's avatar

Oh, these smell so good!

They’re still steaming right now so I can peel the char off!

I think most of them are going to be for tamales!

And I’ll dehydrate some of them too!

Tia Loca's avatar

My favorite one is a corn and cheese tamale with a strip of the hatched chili down the middle of it!

So much Yum and a little package!

I think we are all off-balance today. Please allow yourselves some grace.

More performance review for the big boss! Maybe the assets need more coordination for more sabotage of the U.S. military and its readiness.

Still no entrants in the 'WIN A DINNER WITH RATCLIFFE' drawing?

Jeff, still got my guitar's avatar

One thing that I'm sure is concerning Putin right now is the Burnham-Zelinsky relationship. Burnham is giving Zelinsky EVERYTHING. Missiles, systems , licenses, all of it. All paid for with Putin's $$. This is way above Patel's pay grade so they summoned Ratcliffe.

Land Shark 🇺🇦 🏳️‍⚧️'s avatar

Maybe we could recalibrate Grim's age window to 73 years old?

Uh, no please...

It's entirely within the Realm of Possibility (at its greatest extent) that this trip was entirely innocuous.

But given how much El Presidente has the hots for Tsar Vladimir, it really WOULD be irresponsible not to speculate that it's something nefarious.

You can always count on Harry Enten to wipe Trump’s ass.

CNN Data Guru Gives ‘Reality Check’ on Trump Popularity: Far More ‘Admired’ Than Reagan and Lincoln

First line in the link:

>>CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten gave a “reality check” on President Donald Trump’s popularity, noting he’s more admired by Republicans than Ronald Reagan and Abraham Lincoln.

This is very believable. Of course Republicans don't have a high opinion of Lincoln. Half of them fly Confederate flags, and the other half admire Robert E. Lee, Nathan Bedford Forrest, and other Confederate generals.

Reagan is a little different, but he also had to deal with a Democratic House during his time in office. I think he's mostly forgotten about.

Jamoche's avatar

53% of his own party does not seem that impressive to me. That’s basically the 27% of the entire country that are hardcore true believers.

Oliver Furman's PA's avatar

Enten is smoking some bad shit.

One deal I can see Ratcliffe proposing to the Russians: Stop helping Iran so we can win our war, and we promise to throw whatever wrenches we can into any NATO / EU response to your war against Ukraine. I can totally see these assholes selling Ukraine out for a win in a Middle East war they started.

Chemical's avatar

It would be something that they would have went straight to Putin with after the meeting, which is what happened. That being said, I'm not certain Putin will accept such a deal. There are reasons why he shouldn't: the main one is he doesn't think Trump could fuck up the EU response that much.

First Dolly, now Tim Curry. I think I'm done with this year now.

Miss Grundy's avatar

Well, damnation, I just looked at my YouTube feed and it has been reported that Tim Curry of "Rocky Horror Picture Show" fame has passed away at the age of 80. When will the Grim Reaper reach out to the 80 year old in the White House?

Chemical's avatar

All very weird stuff.

I'm guessing that Ratcliffe asked Russia for help somehow. Russia is helping Iran with their war that our regime is currently losing, so it would be pretty logical for him to ask the Russians to stop with that. It's hard to say how Russia would respond to such a request: On one hand, helping Iran means less resources to prosecute their own war, but on the other, it screws over the United States.

Honestly I don't think Trump has much to do with this, for a few reasons. First, he doesn't plan anything beyond the next five minutes. This is not the kind of planning that Trump does. Second, I'd wager that Trump isn't planning for a midterm bloodbath because he thinks it will go great for him. He won't view other Republicans losing their elections as his problem. He's not on the ballot, after all. Plus, he surrounds himself with yes-men and sycophants, none of whom will ever criticize him on any topic, ever.

CIA "We're losing in Iran and we need your help!"

FSB "We're losing in Ukraine and we need your help!"

CIA "We asked first!"

FSB "We have pee tape! And Epstein files!"

CIA "You win!"

Diane's Less Hostile Username's avatar

I think he's asking for help with Iran.

Chemical's avatar

I wouldn't doubt it. Given that Russia is already helping Iran, it's likely he asked them to stop helping them.

Diane's Less Hostile Username's avatar

That's pretty much what I think, or to ask them to pressure I ran to open the straight.

This is the perfect situation for a couple of somewhat sternly written letters from our doormat "leaders" Chuckles and Jeffries.

I’m sure I’m the only one who got a big laugh when Jeffries said something like “mark my words, we’re going to hold everyone accountable after the midterms”

Poor Ratfuk just went to check out this summer's caviar harvest and the new Mountain Dew flavoured vodka. And here we don't trust his ass as far as we can spit. The tragedy.
