Too bad he is not going to a real re-hab facility. Or a real jail. For someone to behave this way, and the way he has confessed to, is a sign of a really fu(ked up upbringing, but of course we could predict this from just one episode of that tv show. I sincerely hope this is the downfall of that family, or at least the downfall of the new tv show they are going to be fronting. I for one will not be watching and will be sending another letter to the network expressing my displeasure for their shitty actions in this regard.
The wife is already abused, psychologically, at least. She is going to stand by him and pray for help in becoming a better wife because it was her fault that he "strayed." The Quiverfull movement specifically, and fundagelicals in general, preach that doctrine that the women are weak but have to prop up the man when he stumbles and pray for the strength to be worthy because only then can he be perfect and it's her fault if he is not. Lots of responsibility, but no power and all the blame. Personally, I hope she bobbitizes him the first night after his release/return from rehab.
