Like he did with Michael Flynn.

Yeah, looks pretty bad. He needs to be taken off this case. ASAP.

He's off it, but he's talking out of school nevertheless. He needs to be disciplined, for sure.

Judges are obliged to be circumspect. Too forceful, and it's easy to question whether they were prejudiced. Either recusal or dismissal of the judge helps the defense. I am glad the judge stick to his dignity as well as his guns. So to speak.

Exactly what Trump hired him to do. As I keep telling KY's Democratic governors, you have to take your hand off the bibble at your inauguration and immediately sign the order firing every political appointee of the previous administration. Because they are already sabotaging you.

The problem is, even if they fire him, or park him in an empty office until he retires, he still has knowledge that can f*ck up the ongoing cases. So how do they keep him from spilling his guts? Threaten him with prosecution? Literally have him watched all the time?

There are probably a lot of Trump appointees still in areas where they could jam things up in different departments, which is why one of Biden/Harris's number one jobs is cleanup in all the aisles.

The Popehat blog is a treat. It's by a former Federal prosecutor turned defense attorney and he of course has a lot of experience dealing with Federal judges.

He says they mean what they say, and implies that you ignore them at your extreme peril.

I looked up Sherwin on wikipedia, followed a few links.

Basically, the guy was a drudge in Florida, not exactly a shining star. But he latched on to whatever was required to rise up in the Turnip administration, and then he started confirming what the other guys back in Florida already knew about him.

The Peter Principle in the Age of Turnip. Not a bug.

It would be interesting to see if phone records reflected any contacts between the two parties leading up to the televised attempted assassination of the investigation.
