$100MM in tax liabilities, plus $400MM owed to DB and other banks, is a cool half billion. All of it owed by Donnie, personally. No walking away from a corporate bankruptcy this time. This is why he wants to make Merde-a-Lago his "home": Florida doesn't allow creditors to take your residence.

Hmm. Vladimir Putin certainly wanted Trump to be president and did what he could to make it happen (in 2016 AND 2020) because he knew that Trump would be an appallingly bad president, and terrible news for the U.S. whether or not he was knowingly in cahoots with Russia. I suppose it's possible that Trump's main reason for kissing up to Putin so egregiously for four years (notably at Helsinki) was a yearning to build Trump Towers in Moscow. It's fully possible that Trump knew initially that Putin was ratfucking the election but soon convinced himself that he was elected solely for his overwhelming charm and Putin had nothing to do with it. Also that he, Trump, was brilliantly outwitting Putin right, left and centre instead of being played like a cheap violin. His ability to believe whatever he wants to believe is unlimited. As I recently had pointed out to me, if you believe and say something patently false, it's still a lie. George Costanza to the contrary.Maybe I'm mistaken, but I've always thought home-grown voter suppression had more to do with Trump's 2016 election than Putin did. And I doubt it was just coincidence that the 2016 election was the first presidential election after that 2013 Supreme Court decision that gutted the Voting Rights Act by removing Section 4.

He has at least $750 million in cash - $500 million in the Trump Campaign and another (conservatively) $250 million in the new Save America PAC, raised since November. He owns a LOT of real estate. Forbes reported in October, just before the election, that he raised $120 million by selling some bits and bobs of what he owns - at inflated prices, because he was selling influence. He could probably pay all his debts and survive as a pretty rich guy. And of course he has no intention of paying any of what he owes. This is why the SCOTUS dropping all the emoluments cases on the grounds that they're moot now that he's no longer president (just last week) is a huge win for him.

Also, if dealers believe he has a chance of becoming president again, he
