Am I missing something? When he was arrested, I thought he was active duty Coast guard. WTF isn't he sitting the brig awaiting court martial?

I'm happy to lay his life down to protect the rest of us....

Is he getting his guns back or can he still buy others? Then as far as I'm concerned, you'd just be standing your ground.

"Judge Charles Day had given prosecutors two weeks to come up with 'more serious charges'" ... because they haven't charged the guy with terrorism! He's charged with possessing an opioid, and with possessing a gun while possessing an opioid, and THAT'S IT. It's all right there in the first paragraph:

No idea why they don't charge him with worse things, but they haven't, so he's actually entitled to bail. Constitutional thing I think.

He's not charged with anything but opioid possession, and possessing a gun while possessing an opioid. That's the actual problem.

Hasson himself admits to wanting to commit "forced violence" to create a "white homeland." He could've just moved to Oregon and not kill anyone.

Hey! Don't write things like that. It makes people from Oregon think you know what the state is really like!

... because he makes bail and they don't, I guess. The guy is charged with (1) possession of a Schedule IV opioid, and (2) possessing a gun while unlawfully in possession of a Schedule IV opioid. https://www.documentcloud.o...

Why not more serious charges? I dunno, but there's not. Schedule IV ... that's pretty low on the list of things.
