And they will always operate in bad faith.

He fought too long in the 2016 primary and accused the DNC of being rigged against him or picking favorites, ultimately weakening Clinton's position. Considering she lost the electoral college by 70,000 votes in 3 states, Bernie refusing to concede early and enthusiastically campaign for her cost us the election (among many, many other reasons). Which probably didn't matter too much to him or his supporters, because again, WMP. And he's a purist who won't compromise, which means he has fewer legislative accomplishments to point to and he's not going to support down ticket centrist Dems, and winning back the Senate is nearly as important as the White House. His whole thing seems to be, "Here's a great idea with no details or plan to get it to happen. Even though centrist Democrats would not support it, somehow it will magically happen if you elect me President."

I'm still not sure. The nastiness is unpleasant, but this is politics. If the others can't take it then they shouldn't be running. Besides, it's good practice for them. Whoever takes on trump will be in for a dirty fight.

The money is disturbing. Given what I know of his history he shouldn't have that sort of connection with rich donors. And Zuckerberg is a definite minus, but again politics requires hanging out with some very unpleasant people.

One plus is that having a gay President and a First Gentleman would outrage the Repubs. Not good enough to pass up Warren instead, but something.

Of course while I would like to see a gay President, I am increasingly upset that women, who make up more than half the population, have not yet representation at that level.

Say it in California and we'll just look puzzled and go off and surf or something.

That pretty well covers my reasons. Extremely well said.

I wonder if there are any other high ranking government officials who are also murderers in the middle east. The initials MBS come to mind... and who's that guy in charge of Turkey, the one we just let invade Syria and slaughter a bunch of our allies? There are probably a few others I'm forgetting right now. I assume Trump will get right on assassinating the rest of them soon.

I know that innocent people will die if Trumps golden trash palaces are bombed, but maybe they could quietly warn all the workers not to show up that day first. If they could clear them out, I'd be totally fine with this.

Belonged to my great grandfather's family. They ran out the back door when the Bolshies were breaking down the front door according to legend.

I love oceans, so all coasts are nice. But California does have some damn nice weather.

We need to do something about the fire danger, but California has been fighting climate change for a while now.

Thank you for your wisdom. We all love Lord Trump here. You can go spread the Good News elsewhere.

As an American in Australia I learned the Aussies call Americans yanks because of their charming custom of using rhymes for word play. Like "me China plate" means "my mate," or friend. Still it was a bit disconcerting when I found out via my boyfriend at the time, that Americans are called yanks because it rhymes with toilet tanks. Nothing to do with North or South.Mrsmc
