Clinton was probably the best, and certainly the most competent, Republican president of my lifetime, but their policies were certainly a mixed bag. Repeal of Glass/Steagall was high on their agenda from the start, for example. Remember what else they failed to get passed? Privatizing Social Security.
And HRC is directly to blame for Rump. In 2000 the two parties combined spent a record-crushing $100 million on the Presidential election. In 2016 Clinton alone spent a BILLION DOLLARS, and lost to a poo-throwing orangutan. How do you even DO that unless you're deliberately trying to throw the election? Hers was the most poorly-run presidential campaign that I've seen in 45+ years of watching politics, at least if the intent were to actually win anyway.
Clinton was relentlessly prochoice. HRC is responsible for every American child having health care since CHIPS.
I posted the votes for Glass Steagall. It was passed on a party line vote by Republicans, who controlled the House and the Senate. Then a second version was included in a larger negotiated bill which Democrats voted for.
And why did they do that? Because ignorant purity assholes such as yourself decided to let the Rs take over.
You are fucking delusional about Trump and HRC, not even worth discussing.
Ah a true fangirl. Thought they only lived on HuffPost.
Still, you can't argue that Clinton didn't run the worst presidential campaign of any major candidate of the last four decades. Did her sycophants just convince her that "I'm not Donald Trump" was enough for the purple states? Or was the lure of all that campaign money in NY and CA, states where the shambling zombie corpse of Richard Nixon could win if it ran as a Democrat, convince her to spend most of her time and resources there? If it wasn't deliberate then why did she run such a truly abysmal campaign and ignore the battleground states in spite of their party's pleas? Was no one on her campaign aware of the existence of the Electoral College? Please enlighten us.
She ran against Russia, a stunningly sexist press, Bernie's misogyny and lies that somehow painted her as not committed to universal health care, and virulent racism.
And she won the popular vote.
Biden faced much less of that, during a pandemic, and it was still far too close.
You know who ran a crap campaign? Dukakis ran a terrible campaign. Genuinely terrible. That is what a bad campaign looks like.
Fuck no, that's not really true, we use salt petery language mostly.
The good guys almost got run over in your riding?
Congratulations, JT.

They tried to send that garbage to everyone around here a while back. Free copy for everyone in the mail... SO many people complained.
Yeah, that's the dickhead. We need to get Ford the fuck out ASAP, so hopefully he'll suck as much with his new job as he did with his old one.
The republicans thank you for how you have weaponized your stupid for them.
