So the police hassle black men for wearing masks in public. And for not wearing masks in public.

There's a simple solution: All black people should just turn white for the duration of the emergency. That's reasonable, isn't it?

The outlier Warren Court actually made some solid progress in making the "all men created equal" thing a reality, to bring professionalism to law enforcement, and to make corporations properly subservient to the elected government. The Federalist Society was founded as a reaction to all those horrible, horrible things.

Only thing new is they have another excuse to use in their bullshit.

Okay, but I'd rather see Kamala Harris on trial for murdering the Attorney General

As far as the bank is concerned, everyone alive is a daring daylight robber.

I would say that proportionately more black people are wearing masks in St. Louis compared to white people.

Surprisingly, my optimism is still holding up.

That’s good. I don’t think I could function without it. I’ve done some crazy things over the years that required a lot of optimism.

It is bad that I'm grateful for the fact no black man has been shot dead over this yet?

Those philly cops could've, I don't know, told him "hey you need to wear a mask so have one next time, but here's a disposable you can use this time".

The ghost of Governor Reagan still haunts cops. Carry an unloaded weapon, wear a mask, it's all the same if you're black.

My mom and I talked telephonically yesterday. She is in El Paso and I am not. She reports that police there have begun issuing warning tickets to people who are unmasked in public. She and I agreed it would be a good thing if, instead of, or in addition to, issuing tickets, the police could also give masks to the offenders, and even possibly wait on-scene to make sure the unmasked became masked (i.e., knew how to put the damn things on).
