They have a better chance this time if they get the power. The problem with a lot of Repub crimes is that they aren't actually crimes (consider who writes the laws). Business and political crimes, as shown in the 2008 crash, are just considered smart business or canny politics.

This time we have actual criminals to prosecute and the states will be pitching in. Also, if the Dems do win big I hope they will get the message that we want the corruption in government to end. (Ironically, that's what a lot of Trump voters wanted to so they voted for the weasel to guard the hen house.)

We must win in 2020. People need to accept, if not support all the candidates and save their attacks for the other side. As far as I'm concerned the Dems are a team until the end of 2020 and undermining any of your teammates is a bad strategy.

That said, I'm delighted to see Warren and Harris gain so much after the first debate. And there are more debates to come.

Twisting what shit? Have today's headlines and Harris NOT focused on Biden's comments about working with segregationist senators four+ decades ago?Or Harris sniping about Biden and bussing 40+ years ago?If that's the shit that will determine a candidate's fitness for office TODAY, prepare for another four years of REAL shit delivered by shitheads extraordinaire. BTW, was the Senate Biden entered in 1973 worse than the Senate bossed today by McConnell-- and peopled by some truly horrendous dickheads-- simply because it included avowed segregationists who made no secret of THEIR racism.

There is zero chance he will attend the inauguration of his successor, even if he wins a second term and (jeebus forbid) is succeeded by Mike Pence in 2025. It would be an event that wasn't about him so it wouldn't hold any interest to him.

Why are Black folks so angry anyway? It’s not like they’ve been treated like animals or (at best) second class citizens for centuries. It’s not like they were “Strange Fruit.” It’s not like their women die in childbirth at four times the rate of white women. /s

We were just visiting San Antonio, and it was so absurd reading about people bringing their slaves with them to the alamo to fight for freedom from Mexico. Talk about denial!

Biden wouldn’t be tainted by simply working with Eastland. The issue is that he and Eastland worked to hamper school busing. That was almost certainly the vile segregationist’s condition in any negotiations on legislation. It’s reasonable to ask what a President Biden would concede to McConnell, who would probably demand that Biden gut Obergefell or Roe.

Good point. Politics is the art of compromise, but compromising with McConnell is a losing game. If we could only rid ourselves of McConnell!

Examining the legislative records of Democratic primary candidates will not re-elect Trump. That is a ridiculous argument.
