OT but for some reason this reminds me of something I've been seeing lately online, claims that conservatives are having an exodus from California to places like Nevada supposedly "fed up with the liberal progressive's mistakes and BS." Which I've never heard of, and I've been here all my life.
1) Blame Wall Street. Corps are currently incentivized to reward shareholders in the next 10-Q more than their own long-term sustainability
2) See 1). Paying workers = looks bad on the balance sheet.
