Miller does that for me.

You may enjoy a remembered fragment of a song a friend of mine in the Army wrote.

Chorus:

Coors* beer, Coors beer,

Get yer Coors beer here

If you don't like Coors beer

You're prob'ly a queer.

It's made from the finest purest

Rocky Mountain spring water,

But bears gotta piss somewhere

So have yourself another

Chorus

I went downtown in San Angelo

Went into a bar, got into a fight

Saw me one of them mechanical sheep

With twenty guys in line

Final Chorus:

Coors beer, Coors beer,

Get yer Coors beer now

If you don't like Coors beer

You prob'ly fuck cows

* pronounced "Kerrs."

I think most "undecideds" are Trumpers, (either they're in disguise, or they just don't know they're Trumpers yet).

FWIW: I don't even think it's close.

Harris/Walz is gonna win.

Republicans really hate it when democrats show a sense of humor, especially when it’s a Democrat with ladyparts. Because their cult leader is a misogynist who only derives pleasure from inflicting suffering on people who look like VP Harris.

Worse: not test kits, Abbott Point of Care test machines, which could give results in 5 minutes and hospitals were in desperate need of.

You may have forgotten but Jared Kushner explained this to America pretty clearly. Any strategic reserves of medical equipment, ventilators, etc. that the United States government had, didn't actually belong to US. It belonged to the trump family to be distributed how they saw fit. To people, states, and tyrants that THEY personally liked. So that was clarifying.

I guess it's like someone asking if you are a Baptist or a Catholic, and society still isn't ready for you to say that you are an atheist. I'm kind of genuinely curious, what if someone asks a sports question like that and you don't care about sports. Like you don't even know which cities have which teams or the names of anyone who is on any of those teams. Someone like me..,, Like Would it have been OK for her to say "I'm not into sports"?

I don't think so. Weird

It's not safe to profess allegiance to the 49ers to a nationwide audience, either.

I listened to the Howard Stern interview yesterday. She came out as a Formula 1 fan, favorite driver Lewis Hamilton. I need to find a woman like that!

I have a very odd last name - it looks like it's French, but it's actually German. I rarely get it pronounced correctly on the first or second shot. Know how much it bothers me? Not at all, really. Sure, it's annoying to always have to correct people, but it's such a minor issue to me, because I'm more interested in people getting to know who I am and what I stand for.

I believe VP Harris feels the same way. Yes, it's annoying to have people mispronounce your name, but as long as they vote for her, I'm guessing she doesn't give that big a whoop.

Biff52, Safe from TX floods's avatar

If it was an honest mistake, fine. It's not, though. They are purposely mispronouncing her name to show their gang affiliation. Same way they always say "Democrat Party".

my name is seldomly pronounced correctly either. I don't correct people - the people who REALLY know me know how to say it - and the people in in the periphery that go "OH - THAT'S HOW YOU SAY IT" are people with genuine curiosity ergo people I want to get to know

Add my last name as another never prn correctly. My knee jerk reaction is always to repeat it correctly to them and it's only 6 letters. It's that tricky English rule of short vowel cuz it's followed by a double consonant.

I should say that this doesn't apply to people who DELIBERATELY mispronounce it, as a way to intimate that she's "less than" because she's not a middle-aged white man. Fuck those people.

So your secretary will be okay with losing certain things we, as Americans, take for granted, just as long as they are taken away "charismatically"? The charismatic loss of the right to control her own body? The charismatic loss of the National Weather Service and all FEMA related support? (Seems especially relevant right now.) The charismatic loss of health care and social security? Project 2025 is a lot of things, but it AIN'T charismatic.

Does she like Trump's charismatic relationship with Vladimir Putin? All those secret phone calls he has had with him, post Presidency, plus sending vital and scarce COVID equipment to Putin himself directly - and secretly - while Trump WAS President.

Gotta love that charismatic "eating the dogs . . . eating the cats" line from the debate though, right? Did she think that was a charismatic debate performance? (Did she watch it?)

I've got nothing else. People STILL supporting Trump at this stage have truly found an ability to discount and ignore SO MUCH REAL INFORMATION that a couple more nuggets (like the latest Putin revelations) are unlikely to sway them.

I think if I was still trying to change minds on this issue, at this point what I'd be leaning into was the thing Harris mentioned in this interview - how thin skinned and easily played he is. Forget about policy, forget about competence, any of that stuff, but a person who can be easily goaded into losing his temper is going to get used, and played, on the world stage. Anyone who watched the debate, even someone who thought the moderators were unfair, and Harris got the questions ahead of time and all the rest of it, will have seen that he kept getting thrown off balance. And say "If Harris can do it, the enemies of the US can do it".
