Or cuts the funding to this until the whole thing is one lawyer frantically trying to represent every tenant being evicted?

What a depressing sight.

Frankly, I think hospitals should STOP providing inpatient Covid treatment to adults* who refuse to get vaccinated. If you don't trust the "medical industrial complex" enough to take a vaccine, then you shouldn't get to "trust" them enough to hog up an ICU bed.

*Children should always get the best care, but that care should come with a report to CPS for medical neglect. I'm not saying they should immediately snatch the children of anti-vaxxers, but an investigation should be opened to ensure that the kids aren't being subjected to other flavors of crazy nonsense.

LMAO!!!!!

I have two snackmonsters in my home, and routinely have to divide everything up so that I can be sure to get a portion. XD XD XD

That 700K doesn't even count the number of people who died of non-Covid conditions because all the hospital beds were being hogged up by anti-vaxxers, so they were denied the treatment they needed.

I don't think they should be allowed in the ICU at all for Covid treatment. After all, what happened to "I don't trust the health care industry not to poison me for fun and profit"?

I agree, and a sane, civilized country would do precisely that. Let them be taken care of by Cletus in a field hospital with the hogs and Ivermectin.

Why the motherFUCK should they be allowed to boot out people who have been responsible and adhered to the social contract instead of burning it to the fucking ground?

Once again, just what do these fucking stinking "conservatives" want to "conserve" other than their worthless fucking ignorant white skins. Because it's damned sure not money or lives.

Sooner or later something is going to give with these fucks, and it's not going to be pretty.

Same. I live in an affluent uni town in NoCal, and those disgusting comments pop up all the time in our local paper and NextDoor site.

And yet we're supposed to be so "liberal." *eyeroll*

Yep. Our town frequently rousts them out and then either throws their stuff away, or takes it.

Can you imagine being unhoused and then your meager belongings are taken from you? Just fucking pitiful. :(

Well God Damn .Mee too! A hint: if you really want to make the giant Peanut Butter CupGet a pie dish, coat with melted chocolate, swirl, and set in fridge to set upThe filling: easy-peasy. It is peanut butter and butter and powdered sugar. Just mix about 50/50 peanut butter and butter +powdered sugar until you get the right consistency . When the pie shell is hardtake it out of the fridge and add your filling, then back to the fridge to set up.Now you melt more chocolate. When the filling has hardened, take your pie out and pour a layer of chocolate on top. Then back to the fridge to set. Et Voila. You have giant Peanut-Butter Faux Reeses Pie

Wow: "with a lawyer, tenants go from being evicted in 95 percent of cases to staying in their homes a supermajority of the time". Wow.

Leases are two-way contracts. Those who do not fulfill the terms of a contract are not entitled to enforcement thereof. This applies to both the landlord and the tenant, and their respective rights and obligations are codified under state laws. Withholding rent due to noticed and unresolved defects in the property is usually held to a different legal standard than refusing to pay rent just to fuck the man.

I should have specified residential landlord. Commercial I could live with.

During the potato famine in Ireland the (usually British) landlords just removed the roofs and froze entire families to death. If you've ever wondered why the Irish have historically hated the British, there's one of the reasons.
