Sometimes a governor needs to get a little rough with his constituents. You know, just to spice things up a little. So five years ago, Kansas Governor Sam Brownback convinced the state's legislators to take their relationship to the next level with a massive tax cut plan that Brownback referred to as a "real, live experiment." With supermajorities in both houses, Republicans would finally get to enact every batcrap crazy tax idea that they'd been fapping to since Reagantimes. Laffer Curve, Trickle Down, and Brackets Eliminated! OH YEAH, BABY! Kansas would be the economic powerhouse of the plains, thousands of businesses would relocate to the Sunflower State, and Liberals would be
Depends. He's announced for Guv, promising (I shit you not) to "drain the swamp in Topeka." If enough egocentric Republicans run for the job Herr Kobach could win the primary on name recognition or sheer wingnuttitude, and then be the Republican candidate in Kansas (in which case we could be sQrew E. D.)
Agreed. And if, as a person making over $200k, you're forced to pay any sort of tax, be it federal income, payroll, property or sales, the state of Kansas should reimburse you. Then, you can spend that money on creating more jobs.
When I mentioned Kobach in my post this morning, I had not yet seen speculation ( let alone a campaign annoincement ) that he would run to replace Brownback - his name was just another Republican asshole who came quickly to mind.
I see Kobach turned down two offers of jobs with the Rump admin ( the Rump admin has not confirmed any offers ) to stay in Kansas and run for Governor. I know it's Kansas, but I can only hope that the voters of Kansas don't trade one disaster for another....

And their slauson, just for good measure.
The term du jour is "ideological cleansing."
I have a diet Nazi on retainer. Bitch won't let me eat anything.
Wait: stuff costs money?!?!
He's up for "Ambassador for Christian Religious Liberty," WhateverTF that is. It's the one Trump appointment that has wide support around here.
"Two brackets good, four brackets bad."

Conveniently named State Line Avenue. Even the Republicans – at least those few who support public education – can figure that one out.
At least it matches the firing squad.
Not zero? Hmmm…

I'm Not Sure. Lately most of us would look for a bent coat hanger to skewer the sumbitch with.
Do you expect us to believe that a Republican would lie? Hummmph...next thing I know you'll be telling me there were never any WMD in Iraq.
