Now, about my disappearing ecosystem... Good news, everyone! The Paris Climate Summit actually managed Saturday to reach an agreement to limit and reduce greenhouse gases, with almost every nation on the planet agreeing to reduce its emissions of carbon dioxide and other gases that threaten to make the world unlivable. Now all the signatories have to do is actually follow through on making the changes they've committed to, every one of them. You might not want to buy any land in Florida just yet, maybe.
So much of the Executive-Legislative branch interactions anymore really feel like some government version of parents threatening to take their kids' toys away if they don't clean their rooms, and then the kids screaming about unfairness when the parents did it.
I don't remember when my exact turning point was. I do remember when I started to actually LOATHE Republicans, and that was when the banks collapsed because of their dumb idea to deregulate banks.
When Nixon was pardoned my adolescent bullshit detector went to bright red. I was sort of looking forward to the revolution because I had just taken out a $$ loan to buy a Yamaha motorcycle, and I thought bank of america was going up in flames.
Isn't it adorable watching Karl Rove desperately try to appear relevant? That ship done sailed right about the time a certain helicopter took off from Washington on January 20, 2009.
Well there you go. Don't participate in the process, just sit back and bitch about the people who actually do vote in every election. There's a reason why out of touch Olds like your Mommy and Daddy still run things. And if you do vote but still see the same jerks getting elected anyway, then maybe, just maybe, the votes that are keeping them in office aren't coming just from the Olds. (What? There are right wing Millennials??? UNPOSSIBLE!)
(Note: in my local area, which is hardly what you would call a senior community since oldsters generally don't like living where it is winter eight months out of the year, I haven't seen a single person at any of our well-attended Bernie Sanders rallies who was under 50 years old. That's the honest, and frustrating, truth.)

Well, I have a boyfriend, who says that I am very much not single.
...
Hey-oooh!
Yeah, well, what if it's ALL A DREAM and we are freezing to death instead of burning up? Heengh?
Well, I tried for my friend...someday his princess will show up.

Umm,. then we'd be in a much better episode than the darkness one?
Aww. That's very sweet of you!
Perhaps you can console your chum by letting him know I'm actually a "prince". :0)
Sometimes I'm not so sure he wouldn't prefer a sweet prince
lol Well, we are low maintenance and can lift heavy(ier) things. Mostly. ;0)
It admits the planet is heating up, too. Can't say we didn't know any more.
