We lost Jesse Jackson today, and it was Mardi Gras, also a bunch of other news kept happening too.
I'm sorry for being critical but we did not "lose" Rev. Jackson. He died. He's not lost. We don't lose people. They die. We're so frightened of death, we use all manner of euphemisms so as not to actually say "died" or "death".
My mom the episcopal priest used to point that out as well. It set her teeth on edge when someone said “passed on…”
Passed on to WHERE? Was I driving too slow and they went by me? said mom
Thanks for the recap, Dok!
