I didn't know I needed a baby koala in my life until right now.

Kellyanne's goal in life was destroying the Clintons. I'm assuming at the end of Trump's inauguration, she will disappear in a puff of brimstone and go back to Hell. She doesn't need a job for her last 6 weeks on Earth.

Don't leave CNN Worldwide President and longtime Donald chum and booster Jeff Zucker off your list.

HE might want you to leave him off your list, because he's taken to waking up in a cold sweat in the middle of the night as he realizes the place he's going to occupy in the (admittedly, radioactive, with, probably, nobody left to read them) history books of the future.

But I don't want you to leave him off your list. I would take it kindly if you would include him, please.

I'd respect grindstone the younger's wishes & leave it alone. But do continue to share your political views with him.

The other side of BadWolfKid's family accused me of brainwashing him. They ignored his birthday completely & only informed me of this when I called to wish a happy birthday to one of them.

I can offer moral support at least. My husband and I are surrounded with this stuff on both sides of the family. I find common ground where possible to keep communication open. I have a sister-in-law who is always recruiting for right-wing causes. I just ignore her. I try to stay on higher moral ground -- as in, actions speak louder than words.

I remember you discussing that, and ...damn, that is some unacceptable behavior. If it means anything, I'm so sorry you went through that.

Great find--thx! "Baker ---- got into an argument with Klan Brother Richard Dillon while at Baker’s house the night before the parade at their planning session. Well, argument is a weak word. They stabbed Dillon in the chest and dumped him in the lobby of some office building."I shouldn't laugh, but ROFL.

My MIL is an email-forwarder. She NEVER checks sources and believes any right wing bullshit that comes across, and then broadcast-forwards it. If you ask her to check snopes, or tell her you've checked snopes, or point to any other source debunking her shit, she gets all riled up and digs into her position. it's freaking maddening. (Did you know the ACLU is trying to stop the Marines from praying???)

I've stopped reading her emails altogether, and she only has my "more or less only junkmail email address", the one I use for catalogs and mail lists.

That's amazingly kind, thank you. Truth is, we're not that great at parenting, we are ill-equipped at best, but somehow our kid is turning out okay, despite us. My husband is "disappointed and embarrassed" with his mother, which are strong feelings from him. I know broaching this subject with them will lead to the Hellfire and Perdition Level of family drama, so I may at least wait until after the holidays when stress levels are not quite so near the skin.

BWK says he's not writing a letter of apology because he simply asked that they not share their political views with him.

He's getting so excited because we're moving in 10 days & he wants his own space. We lost our home in April after my now ex physically assaulted the BWK & stole $25K. Thankfully friends have put us up while we saved money for our own place. And we'll have a confidential address so the harassment will stop. I truly don't understand why you have to go through hell to get a PFA & then the police do nothing when it's violated. Oh well, we're both looking forward to less stress :)

Give grindstone the younger our best :)

We did the same thing; it was a quarterly directed event that you had to do transitions, including a full stop off station. When I was flying out of Eielson we had a dedicated trainer aircraft that was painted to look like an RC-135S but was really a TC-135 (C-135B with a handful of modifications). Fairbanks was in the 1980's not a large city and especially in the 20 plus hour darkness of the winter cabin fever was a genuine consideration. This was before the KC-135 crash that killed civilian passengers (family members). We used to take the wives on off station training missions in the winter to Los Angeles or Honolulu or Miami for shopping trips where you didn't have to live by the dictum that if they've got it buy now because in five minutes it will be gone.

But, shouldn't we *want* to be part of the secret cabal of lizard people plotting to overthrow the government? Still confused.

though technically this is an agency rule (which I think should be struck down as overreach on the agency's part), there is legislation filed. however, it was filed by someone who's not made the best name for themselves and should be neglected to death unless it comes back in a special session. even if it passes in the Senate, it doesn't have a chance in hell in the House unless it's during a special session when fewer bills means they all get a lot of coverage.
