When all the demons of Hell come to collect this evil, evil monster I will dance in the street.

Ta, Gary. But hormone treatments for cisgender kids are just fine, right, Kenny boy? Gevalt!

insert_something_creative's avatar

Yeah, it scans to me that at least some of these might be cisgender kids getting hormone treatments or puberty blockers, even though the goal is obviously only to target trans kids because he's a fucking monster.

I also want to know how the hell he got his hands on private medical records?

Lynn Veit's avatar

That's what I would like to know as well. HIPAA laws are there for a reason -- because of fuckwads like Paxton who have no business meddling in people's private medical history for political gain.

Sadly, this might be more of a test of the Texas Medical Board and what they stand for than a case about a compassionate doctor. Any honest Board would affirm that gender affirming care is in line with national health care standards, but perhaps runs afoul with Texas politicians. So who are the real activists? It’s Paxton and his weirdo colleagues who want to change reality. But, this being Texas, it’s possible the Board smells of horseshit and embraces open-carry, so anything is possible. Pray for this poor doctor, and any decent person living in Texas. Ted Nugent left Michigan and moved there on purpose, after all. Nuff said.

These are the same people who all used to natter endlessly about how "big government" was ruining their lives. They nattered about that from the early years of the twentieth century on through Reagan's two terms in the 1980s and even on through to the 2010s. Now they're on fire for turning America into a Taliban-style regime. A generations-long reign of "Y'all Qaeda" isn't so far-fetched after all.

Those 14 year olds can still get an AR-15 as a gift and use them to kill other kids?

Of course. Just how Jesus intended.

Every single elected Republican responsible for atrocities like this, child separation, protection of guns’ rights, etc should come back in the next life as one of the group of people whose lives they are actively destroying.

Kind of like Vic Morrow in that Twilight Zone movie segment.

Paxton deserves to die alone living under a freeway overpass.

Too dignified. How did Mussolini go?

DemoCat's avatar

Badly. It went very badly for Benito. He pulled a very Trumpy move and attempted to flee Italy for the warm embrace of a rapidly falling Germany in 1945 with his mistress, leaving his wife behind. Benny and his gal pal were shot and hung up in the town square. Come to think of it, had he made it to Berlin it might have been even worse. The Russians might have been even more creative.

Meanwhile, The Burzynski Clinic is a clinic selling an unproven cancer treatment, which has been characterized rightly as harmful quackery, and rakes in millions from desperate patients, and parents of patients, who raise funds, and sell everything they have to pay for treatment there. Where, when they run out of money, they are discharged, and blamed for not getting better, or for dying. And where is this place, which has been making money hand over fist for years?

TEXAS.

Texas Medical Board EVENTUALLY took away his license and gave him a miniscule fine (in view of what people have paid him), but the clinic just rebranded, and is still operating. in TEXAS.

But, they aren't doing anything particular with transgender patients, so all is OK with The Criminal Paxton.

Doctors are going to flee Texas. Like they're leaving Idaho.

Joe Christmas's avatar

I hope so. But this only hurts the poor. Rich fucks will always be able to find scummy docs like ronnie Johnson, er, Ronnie Jackson.

Lefty Wright's avatar

Is having Jackson as your doctor good idea? I think states like Texas and Florida are going to see a shortage of doctors in every field of medicine. Along with the best medical professors picking another state to teach or conduct research in. It may take a few years but unless those states change their medieval attitude within a decade decent medical care will be harder to find even if you are rich.

This also serves them. They never wanted the poor to have health care anyway. Have babies, stay poor, stay healthy (or you're fucked), don't vote, and shut the fuck up.

Like, right up until age 18

Paxton needs to be transgendered with a rusty, dull knife (Bowie, natch).

Speaking of "eight-millimeter porn loop", did that remind anyone else of that film we used to watch in the 'basement rec room' featuring Minnie and Mickie 'getting it on', as the kids back then called it? No? Maybe I dreamt it.

Yeah if you you believe white people are the “master race” you’ll believe anything.

Thank you Dr. Lau for having bigger balls than the Doctors who let women die by refusing to treat them. Step up. Texas MD's.
