This week we're heading down to Bourbon country and taking a look at Kentucky's scenic Sixth District! Encompassing a large swath of central Kentucky, the sixth includes the cities of Lexington, Richmond, and Frankfort. But this is Kentucky, so there's a whole hell lot of nothing between the urban centers. Lexington is a bit of an outlier; where the others are more like oversized small towns surrounded by farm country, much of the surrounding area of Lexington is suburban. Many of the people in the cities would remind you that they ain't from West Virginia
Ah yes. The "SparkVark" They never did fix that fuel leak back aft that kept burning off the tail, did they :} The squadron worked briefly with you "E-jam" guys over at NKP (NAKOM PHENOM). All the best to you.
I actually live in this district. Jim Gray is the mayor of Lexington and pretty popular. We have three good candidates; the most liberal is not mentioned in this article, Reggie Thomas, an African American and city council member. I had a discussion with three liberal women friends about who we are going to vote for and we decided to vote for the candidate we think can beat Andy Barr, now we just have to decide who that is. I'm leaning towards McGrath, one of my friends thinks she's glib about dropping bombs (we're old hippies). I think that might win her outlier votes, unfortunately.
During the winter months I have been smoking by myself in the parking structure on my break, which is not allowed. Yesterday I was busted by HR, so today I had to go to the "smoking doorway" where, sure enough, I had to interact with a woman who told me she could never vote for MI governor candidate Shri Thanedar, because he looks like a mooslimb. I told her she and I had just better not talk about politics.
I just wanted to smoke. THIS is why I prefer the parking structure.
I truly think that this is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for the Christian right to make the move for a theological state. If they truly believe, why wouldn't this be the end game? Trump is no more a Christian than I am, but he is the most useful idiot they'll ever find.
I think sometimes abortion is cover for a lot of other stuff that republicans like, but don't want to admit. "I voted for trump because of abortion" sounds a lot nicer than "I voted for trump because I hate those blahs and messicans" not that I'm assuming that is your friend's motivation, but I have a friend that is the same way, and I think it might go deeper with him than just his altruistic love of fetuses
This is the election for the 6th district, though. As voting districts in Kentucky go, the 6th is full of phantom Dems waiting for a decent candidate. One problem: There is a split - most are centrists/voters who would be republicans if they weren't left behind by the derangement of right wing, but a good chunk of Dems in the 6th are full-on lefties - which makes it difficult to get a candidate that speaks to both wings of the party. The wide political split exacerbates the problems with low turnout.
But the 6th is NOT a lost cause, it's just difficult, and an example of the insufficiency of our winner-take-all 2-party system.

I flew A, D and E models, not EFs. All the best to you too.

presumably. he still has a wingnut talk show.
"That guy? We just sent him for coffee."
You are a better diplomat and envoy than I am.

She wanted to go back and get her heads. The police just found one. Where are the others?
Make money off of Trump and the Russians. Nothing is better for profits per partner ratios than being on both sides of the deal.

I are one

That's what I fear about an impeachment leaving Pence as President.

I say Morris was supposed to be gay.
And Sugar Bear was supposed to be black.
Who's with me?
Maybe his passport has already been confiscated.
