No chance on either. Only ONE white person listed - Thatcher.

"...she posted a video of herself exercising in a hotel room because closing gyms to minimise the risk of spreading a virulent and fatal disease was an attack on her.."While you may have known this, it is important to note that the gym in her hotel was OPEN from something like 6 AM to Midnight and she had to have known about it. They did have a mask mandate though, and that is likely the reason for the blatant lie.

Look what Kirsten Gillibrand did, you mean...

I mentioned her because she was the one who really pushed it the most and she is one of my senators. Most people outside NY don't realise that Gillibrand was once a fairly conservative US representative and big gun rights advocate (100% rating with the NRA) even though running as a Dem, and was a huge hawk on immigration.

But before she ran for US rep, she worked at a big NYC law firm where she defended tobacco giant Philip Morris. As a junior associate in the mid-1990s, she defended the company's executives against a criminal investigation into whether they had committed perjury in their testimony before Congress when they claimed that they had no knowledge of a connection between tobacco smoking and cancer. Sounds like a traditional Repbulican playbook writ large.

After continuing her conseravtive bonafides when joining the House as mentioned above, eventually she decided to run for Senate and she suddenly did a bunch of 360s on the issues, as she knew she could not run as a conservative Dem for Senate in NY.After joing the Seante, she continued this scheme in the Senate and once the Franken issue came along she knew she had an issue that could score her more liberal points.

Now let my interject here that she had preiously stated her support of women's rights, and I do NOT believe she is being phony about that per se, but she likely saw that the Franken case could score her more points in the future which she tried to cash in when she ran for president a few years later. Thank goodness she failed,

I must state for the record that I met Al Franken some years ago, and that we have a friend in common and we had a very nice, coridal talk about our mutual friend that one time I met him.I won't mention his name but he has won 6 Emmys over the years and deserves them, but not as an actor, for what that's worth.

The last time Gillibrand ran for Senate I did not vote for her (or anyone else) and will do that again if need be. Her Repub opponent didn't have a chance anyway.

I personally think that if suddenly all of NY state went red, she'd be back to her old conservative shtick.

Well, good for you - seriously. No snark.

My point was that had he actually been from Chicago their obsessions with him would've gone in a different direction. You wouldn't have had Trump sending 'investigators' to Hawai'i, eliminating the 'link' between Maylasia and those other 'foreigners' from Hawai'i. And you probably would've had more of a racist push against black people and the evil Commies like Saul Alinsky.

And there likely would've been more than one newspaper (unlike Hawai'i) reporting on his birth in 1961 and the Illinois birth certificate would've likely be more similar to other states' ones*, eliminating another way to try to show Obama was 'fake'. All this would've made the push against different.

*Not that easy to look up. Couldn't narrow it down.

As the Michael York (I think) character says after the Nazi supporters have thunderously sung "Tomorrow Belongs to Me" in CABARET ... "Still think you can control them?"

I think the idea of young activists in the GOP is pure astroturf flexing. They fake it, hard.

Like the slow demise of Fox Nex viewers, th GOP's voter demographics is set in stone as going the way of the dodo, and they bloody know it.

They spend a lot of energy on boat parades, and big trucks with flags, A Million Moms, and TP with grifter Kirk, but there is simply not the boots on the ground they pretend they have.
