Pay for View would raise enough money to fight back against these assholes. Buy TV ads, if they'll still take money. 🤣🤣🤣

Why margaritias? Appealing to the stereotype that everyone in Latin America drinks a cocktail favored by tourists... micheladas are a more Mexican/Central American thing.

PeeWee Goehring is going on Fox proclaiming that akshually they totally won the Supreme Court ruling 9-0 and they totally don’t have to do anything to bring Abrego Garcia home.

This is the level of gaslighting going on.

That ruling was a direct appeal to John Roberts. If they clarify their ruling will grump continue to defy the order? We will see. Bottom line is if he's allowed to defy court orders everybody is screwed. If Harvard sues and the court says you can't withdraw their tax-exempt status unless you withdraw all schools from it, and grump says fuck you and orders the IRS to tax them, what will stop him? He may have to be impeached to be stopped and even then...

Thrilled that Garcia is alive, and even MORE thrilled that this is becoming a huge liability for Trump and his passel of fascists.

Would give a "like" if it wasn't that there is more glee for discomforting Trump than for just protecting Abrego García's basic rights. The poor guy has become, not a person, but a political football.

There will be action unless there are consequences for the inaction. Time for some consequences, no, make that lots of consequences.

The first thing I did after reading Evan's post was to look at the photo of the drinking glasses. Pretty obvious they were filled with water.

Apparently the administration is sinning like crazy cuz Jesus isn’t around and won’t get back until Sunday. Too bad they couldn’t confine all their bad behavior to a hotel room in Vegas and leave everyone else alone.

OK, I just thought of another positive aspect of this whole clusterfuck.

t666p just met with Bukkake, where he smirked and groveled, and said, "Masterful gambit, Peedrow*!", and did everything but lick the tip... and got nothing accomplished.

Sen. Van Hollen -- a DEMOCRATIC Senator, no less -- went down there at a non-trivial risk of his life, freedom, and safety, and DID WHAT HE COULDN'T, and is now an honest to God hero for it.

`

*I am aware that his first name is Nayib, and furthermore, that he is not even Hispanic, but we all know that t666p was calling him "Peedrow", and pronouncing it that way, like he's one of those guys in white patent leather loafers on vacation, and Nayib is the waiter at Senor Frog's.

If a government deals cruelly and arbitrarily with even a small number of people, everyone gets the message: "This could be you next, peons, so support the Fuhrer visibly and loudly--or else." What Trump & Co's treatment of Mr. Garcia shows is that they have the deepest possible contempt for America, its Constitution, and its people. As far as they're concerned, you are here to serve THEM, not the other way around.

"Bukele is running around Twitter like a fucking incel"

`

The only good thing about this person is that, since I had no idea how to pronounce his name, I immediately went to "Bucchiach" -- but non-Italians are certainly free to alter it to "bukkake".

I feel so childish to admit this, but I keep initially seeing "bukkake" instead of Bukele EVERY time I see his last name in print🤦🏻‍♀️

I don't know why...I do know what it is (thanks, urban dictionary! 👋🏻) but that's the extent of my experience with it lol 🤷🏻‍♀️

"Bucchiach" is not quite the same. It means something a bit more vulgar than "hole".

"Senator Chris Van Hollen said he wanted to stay in El Salvador until he was able to meet his constituent Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia"

`

We're all aware that there was a non-zero chance that Sen. Van Hollen might have been "disappeared" as well.

That was my fear about Von Hollen's visit, too, Tessie. Thought he might never be heard from again once he got on the plane. I was very glad when he made it home.

"Sipping margaritas"?

`

It looks to me very much as though those glasses have water in them, but so what if they WERE margaritas? Is Mr. Garcia under legal drinking age or something?

Bitter Scribe's avatar

If they actually 'shopped Margaritas or whatever into those photos, did they not realize that Von Hollen would, well, holler about it the moment he got home and saw them?

I hope Kilmar comes home to the warm embrace of his loved ones, friends, and eventually, some libel lawyers.

OK, you're crazy (and weird):

"In an early-morning social media post, Vice President JD Vance suggested the Maryland man the U.S. government has admitted was wrongly sent to El Salvador should not be admitted back to the U.S., where his wife and child live. “Call me crazy but if you got two hearings and a valid deportation order then you shouldn’t be in the United States,” Vance wrote.

But his statement ignores the facts: Abrego Garcia was granted a protective order by a federal judge in 2019 as he faced potential deportation to his country of origin, El Salvador." [HuffPost]
