However, two items came out in the tech media today: 1. OpenAI (ChatGPT) private shares aren't selling. The big brokerage houses are not finding buyers for them which will definitely color any OpenAI IPO coming later this year, and 2. AI tech users are finding all these cool ass "AI Agents" (the autonomous AIs that perform tasks like/for humans) are getting too expensive. The era of "subsidized" AI (think loss leader) are coming to an end. TL;DR? These AI agents might, in reality, be *more* expensive to operate than their human counterparts. Along with all that, the energy costs in the US and EU are slowing/stopping some AI datacenter build outs and the attacks on data centers in the Middle East due to Bibi's War on Iran are halting almost *all* of the build outs there. Gulf State sovereign wealth funds, a *yooge* source of capital for AI stuff, are not too keen on the US companies and investing in them. A very bad ripple effect from having a region wide conflict. In America, it's the actual electrical grid that is really slowing the data center building and guess who makes a large majority of the equipment for the electrical grid ... China.
