I feel like we are like an decade away from the Hunger Games. And at least The Robbery Barons built libraries and museums. I’m ok with a billionaire whose companies have single handedly reduced the cost of space launches by 80%, made EVs desirable and cheap and helped reduce the cost of PV solar panels by multiples. Tesla’s mission statement is to accelerate the world's transition to renewable energy and that’s exactly what they’re achieving. It’s lazy and ignorant to judge Musk entirely by his worst tweets.
I'm with you Sam. There are plenty of actual trust fund billionaire types to critique. Ones who were born into unimaginable wealth and spend vast sums to subvert progress, foment division and sugar coat fascism.
There is an difference between things Musk has personally done and hired smart people who helped him do it. Musk is an good businessman and salesman but he's not Tony Stark
