I'm just glad that Noem's daughter didn't want to become an airline pilot, or a surgeon.

You know Kristi told her daughter to take the appraiser exam because they needed more appraisers, it's a guaranteed lifetime of employment and she figured the name alone would get her through the process unscathed

Pretty hard, if you're stupid and/or unused to having to succeed on your own merits.

Well, if you define meritocracy as "connected white guys helping each other out," then of course affirmative action is bad!

Maybe they're worried she'll get the nom through some weird fluke and lose in the general election because the Base won't vote for a woman for President.

Biden vowed to bring transparency to global finance. He's going to have to start with Noem and South Dakota, his own back yard, and, of course, Texas and Florida. https://www.theguardian.com... https://uploads.disquscdn.c...

I was about to say that my appraiser did a good job when I bought my home, but then I realized it was actually the inspector that I personally hired to see if there were any major issues before closing. He was very thorough.

I don’t know who did the appraisal for my home for purposes of county taxes, but they have it listed as 400 sf smaller than it actually is. The interesting thing is I live in a townhouse, so there’s an identical townhouse just across the driveway from me, which is listed with the correct sf. Somehow, they haven’t noticed this for 20 years.

Let's just hope Kassidy doesn't lead us to invade a foreign country on false pretenses.

Way O/T aside: I had a really great secretary for many years who had a daughter named Cassidy. It took every ounce of my self restraint not to ask "Did you name her after Neal, Jack, David, Butch, or Hopalong?"

Well it's South Dakota. Now famous as a secret tax haven.

Well, merge them also and we can add Puerto Rico and Guam!

Oh man, this takes me back. I worked for an RE appraisers business association for almost a decade and now I suddenly miss those guys in their khaki pants, button up shirts and fleece pullovers (for that "casual" look!).
