All based on the complete and total lack of any sort of plan or concerted use of federal resources, coordination and leadership concerning the national reaction to the pandemic.

The Vanity Fair article merely points out that incompetence wasn't total. That malice also factored into Trump's non-action

What's all this Ellen stuff?

Well, to begin with, she's an absolute bitch to her staff, the polar opposite of the image she projects through her show. But it's show business, so whatever. The bigger issue are the sexual misconduct and assault charges against three of her producers that just came out. I think Ellen's audience is finally seeing her for who she really is, and I don't think the network is going to bother retooling her show with new producers.

My favorite blogger recently said "Viruses don't read maps, Jared!"

Exactly. And a lot more succinct than my outburst. I just hope the sane people in the U.S. prevail and this awful situation is brought under control.I mean the political awful situation AND the public health one.

Guess she doesn't care about those fat paychecks anymore. Must be nice.

She never has to work another day in her life. She lives the life of royalty. It's the attention and adulation she'll miss.

No, I was not praising Nazis.

In 2020 I will not apologize for not find the Nazis cute or humorous.

No one said they were "cute" or "humorous."

And if you can't laugh at the insanity of the world around you, you're going to end talking to yourself in elevators.

We need an entirely new vocabulary of words to describe this regime. The more I think about their infinite capacity for savagery and avarice, the more I think perhaps they really are not of the same species. The reason none of us here with intelligence and even a smidgeon of compassion are always shocked by their unspeakable actions? We could not even "think" of such things! These are not things we could possibly imagine!and rightly so! Who? Who? would even think in this way about their fellow human beings? Who could make such an obscene mockery of what their service and duty to the American People entails? Its criminal yes...buts its criminal mixed with toxic, dehumanizing sadism and cruelty! Do they actually enjoy thinking about people suffering who happen to be of different political persuasion?Do they really think it is acceptable for those hapless citizens with whom they DO agree politically but who happen to live in a so called "blue" state, to DIE? To die in a terrible and terrifying way? Or to become sick to any degree at all? Who thinks in these ways? Lets round them eh? Put them in enclosures where they can no longer harm or plan to harm others.Reptilian brain doesnt even come close. These "people" are MONSTERS. Sorry, I guess I'm just not yet numb!

This is the cost-benefit way of doing business. You can see it in action when corporations build cars' whose gas tanks explode and in healthcare when a bean counter instead of a doctor decides what treatment a customer receives. In the 80s our hospital CEO announced that the hospital would be run like a business and patients would be known as customers. From then on things were run on a cost-benefit basis. Staffing faced cuts in wages and supplies and their numbers slashed as more and more healthcare dollars went to administration and its needs. It seems that when this strategy is used, it is people who always ends up losing. The fact Trump decided Blue states were expendable and those Americans could just die, should earn him a second impeachment.

If Jared stole the supplies from the states' and hospitals, what really happened to them? Are they sitting, gathering dust in the federal stockpile or were they resold? I don't trust any of Trump's team.
