I can only conclude that Synema is a republican in dem clothing or a moron.

I have no polling data to support this opinion that I'm about to pull out of my nethers, but I rather think that a significant number of Republican voters are actually strongly opposed to bipartisanship. The ones that view Democrats as pure eeeeevuullll are not at all interested in having their side "work with" the baby-eating sochulist demons. So the politicians that got into office on the votes of the hard-right GQPers have no incentive to ever change their ways. You would think an adult with a fully-functional brain would not have a problem seeing this and reaching the same conclusion. Which makes me wonder what Synema really means when she's spouting Pollyanna crap about how senators need to "change their behavior."

Oh, getting one or two Republicans to sign onto a bill proposal isn't that hard, let's see how many she's actually gotten them to pass. Because I'm betting that number is pretty fucking close to zero.

Isn't she pretty new in the senate to be claiming to have a pretty good track record on working across the aisle on things? Would it have been too hard for someone to ask "like what, Kristen Sinema?" I bet she thinks if both sides compliment her on her dresses she's laying the groundwork for something. Because that seems to be how she's distinguished herself so far.

I don't get the opposition either. But we all have to remember that we still need Synema in the caucus. We will just have to work twice as hard to pick up a few new seats in 2022. If Dems try the strongarm approach and throw a ton of hate her way she can become an independent who caucuses with the Republicans. Then Mitch McConnell will once again decide which bills come up for a vote as well as which judges get confirmed.

We're in a parallel universe:

John McCain famously does the 'thumbs down' to save the Affordable Care Act and common folk.

Kyrsten Sinema emulates McCain's hand gesture to fuck over the common folk.

Even the Slow Clap guy in Not Another Teen Movie would know not to do what Kyrsten Sinema did.

Yes I read about her but I still can't make head or tail of her. She was more startling at first but seems like she became SO MILD over the years I can't even perceive and Democrat in her. I can't even see her being gay and I can't see her leaving Mormonism. I guess she's just unusual.

I think you got the wrong person. Especially since I don't care if Israel gets wiped off the map on not, as long as they do it without US support in any way.

But, whatever. Carry on with your bad self.

If the Democrats filibuster, that still inconveniences the Republicans, because it means they can't be passing legislation they want to. This of course requires the Democrats to differentiate between bills they don't support but aren't completely intolerable, and "oh HELL no" bills that the Democrats will filibuster. Republicans will get more of what they want if they stick to the former and avoid the latter.

Sound crazy? Well that's how things used to be: the threat of a filibuster was enough to make even Republicans back down.

Something made next to impossible since Sinema refuses to budge on the filibuster which prevents democrats from effectively opposing Republican voter suppression. Gosh, it's almost like she wants to lose.

My guess is she isn't the only Democrat that thinks this besides Manchin and she's taking the heat for them. That and she's an idiot who doesn't get that if AZ GOP passes the laws they are, she won't win again.
