Seems like the dept of labor might know that managing via terror is not a best practice....guess not tho.

Failed One-timer “pseudo-moderate” Congresscritter (“Pro-forced-birth, pro-Handmaid’s Tale but not snooty about it”) Lori Chavez-DeRemer hails from Oregon.

On behalf of the Beaver State please accept our gravest apologies.

A lot of divorced single women of my generation don’t give a flip what they do to us. We’re working because we got screwed by the legal/court system which contrary to myths doesn’t always advocate for children or families. So we say, give your best shot you jerks, we’re NOT scared of you. We’ll continue to speak out because we know what happens when no one speaks out.

To be fair I threatened to send my son to his room when he told my wife that dropped our dinner order.

Just want to point out that Chavez-DeRemer was considered one of, if not the, most moderate of Trump's cabinet picks.

So much for the thinking that she might be someone who might actually buck the fascism of the rest of the administration...

There seems to be some grave general misunderstanding here, Federal employees do not work for the President. He is not "THE BOSS". They do not work at the "Pleasure of the President" All of them, including the President, work at "The Pleasure of the PEOPLE" As their employers, the people who write their paychecks, WE the "People" have every right in the world to inquire as to their activities, make reccommendations to them, complaints about under performance of their duties, and further to FIRE them if we see fit. WE need to get this straight, immediately!

Big Brother is watching.

OT: I just read the NEW White House Web Page on the COVID pandemic. Anyone wishing to see, should put on protective clothing, and hip boots, and some poseys in your face mask to cover the stench.

Having a small-minded orange turd of a fascist as leader does seem to encourage the minions to want to act like fascists, too.

None of them have the ability or knowledge to even be good fascists It can only be described as some sort of cluster fuck of populism and reality TV.

Respectfully,

"It is, under normal circumstances, the Department of Labor’s job to protect American workers from management."

Sorry no. American workers must remember that it has always been only the union's job to protect to protect worker's from management (always, in every economy, everywhere) and act accordingly.

My first thought was that this might have been sent to employees by mistake. It reads as if it should have been sent to Hegseth.

Second thought - this is exactly the kind of paradigm that abusive partners set up. I blame you for all of the problems, I beat you, then I threaten you to not tell anyone. Because if you do tell anyone, I will beat you again.

Think - really think - about why he keeps inviting known abusers to the White House

He petitioned the Romanian government to free Andrew Tate (which is why it's beyond comprehension why he's permitted to make the excuse that he "can't" free Abrego Garcia)

But people are still like "I don't understand why or how the regime is normalizing abuse"

It's the same reason white families took their little kids to picnics with lynching and stood there smiling in the pictures that were taken of it

Like the photo op of Noem in ElSalvador. Misogynistic vision of what women "should" look like in front of caged men treated like animals. This kind of racist photo op of the white women who need protecting is what drove Jim Crow and the KKK. This propaganda is what killed Emmet Till (just one of many examples).
