Laura Ingraham Is An Accidental Racist, Again
It just keeps happening!
Professional terrible person Laura Ingraham did that thing again where she's jaw-droppingly evil. On her podcast Thursday, Ingraham's guest was hack author of Hate Crime Hoax Wilfred Reilly. The Kentucky State professor is one of the handful of Diamond and Silk embarrassments who weren't moved by Ta-Nehisi Coates's remarkable House testimony on reparations. Reilly also agreed with Mitch McConnell's ridiculous assertion that America paid off its reparations IOU with a shiny new Barack Obama.
REILLY: There are three major problems with reparations, which I would refer to, and I have in my writing, as who gets, who gives and who's next.
One more time: Black people would "get" reparations. Jesus! Why is this so hard? American taxpayers would pick up the tab. If that seems unfair, remember that our grandparents paid taxes for years to fund segregated schools and bus lines. "Who's next" is frankly not our concern. Student loan collectors don't care if you're up to your eyes in credit card debt. They just want what you owe them.
Reilly then tried the three-card Monte-style scam of "What about the Indians?" America also fucked them but good. There just isn't enough money to go around. Jeff Bezos might have to sell Mars.
REILLY: I mean, obviously both white and black soldiers, frankly, took this country from the Indians—the first people.
What the hell did he just say? Black people didn't direct or influence the US policy of Native genocide , but we did fight in the Indian Wars in the late 19th Century. We'll happily chuck in some cash for our Native brothers and sisters.
That's when Ingraham started whistling Nazi. It's all "conquest," man! That's just how we do.
INGRAHAM: People would argue that the whole world, andI would, the whole world has been reshaped by people taking other people's land.
Yeah, and that was a bad thing, Laura, like the plague and your conception.
INGRAHAM: As Trump always says, "You don't get do-overs."
Ingraham quoting noted philosopher Donald Trump? It can only get worse from here.
INGRAHAM: There was a quote, you won, we lost, that's that. Describing world politics, we won, you lost, that's that. That's just the way it is.
Wow! That was exactly as heartless and racist as we'd expect from Ingraham. Her own brother Curtis Ingraham described her as "devoid of empathy." (They don't talk.) It's pretty damning when Ingraham sounds like thevampire Spike on "Buffy" before he had a soul.
It might not seem like it these days but the pro-slavery side of the Civil War lost. Remember how we had a black president and "The Cosby Show"? Those were just some of the spoils of war. According to the "code of conquest," black people should've gained control of the land they'd worked without compensation or freedom their entire lives. The traitors who waged war on the United States and lost should've been the ones riding in the back of the bus. Meanwhile, Ingraham calls liberals the "Taliban" for wanting to remove monuments to white supremacists who had their asses kicked. "We won, you lost" is only a philosophy conservatives follow when it benefits them.
The resulting backlash was so great Ingraham tried to pretend she didn't say what she actually said. She did this last year when she was so racist David Duke sent her a signed set of fitted white sheets and a hood.

There's probably some legitimate, non-dog-whistling reason for mentioning that George Soros,noted Jew, "funds" Media Matters. No, actually, there isn't. Is anyone dumb enough to believe that she and Reilly broke out in a rousing rendition of "Ebony and Ivory"?The last thing Ingraham wants is for "people of all races" to come together. There are brown people in those other races!

Ingraham is from Connecticut, which was a Union state. But it's not about the North vs. the South with her. It's about white nationalism vs black people, and we know what side Ingraham is on.

Well, no--that's just the problem.
Ya see, there were two phases of the Civil War.
The Confederacy indeed lost the first, hot, phase (1861-65).
BUT, unfortunately for the USA, and indeed for the planet and all its inhabitants, the Southern oligarchy won the second, cold, phase (1865-77), because the Northern oligarchy had gotten what IT wanted--the Southern oligarchy compelled to remain in the Union and pay its debts, and the South to serve as a resource colony for Northern industry.
Once that was accomplished, the Northern oligarchs saw the Southern oligarchs as natural allies against uppity workers of all skin tones, so the Northern oligarchy allowed the Southern oligarchy to resume power over its own region.
